Re: Trust
I would look into training yourself if you are worried about competition. You need to invest in your skills. That same person is going to learn on their own (maybe a little slower), so you better...

Re: 7D video - bad pixel correction?
do a manual sensor cleaning with the cap on for a minute. (search google for info) Use cc wire removal in after effects to get rid of the dot in your current footage.

Re: One 5d mark 2, 1 mono pod, and one tri pod
Good work Luke. I want to try this Michael Y Wong song/edit at some point. Only things I can add, I would use the rack focusing and shallow depth of field more of a salt and pepper effect, in the...

Re: Josh and Katie - Highlights
Looks good Michael, customers going to be happy with the deliverable. What type of equipment are you using? The color was spot on, even in difficult lighting conditions. Really enjoy your grading.

Re: Cant decide which super 8 camera to buy
Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Was thinking of picking up a cheap super 8mm camera off of ebay to play around with film. Was looking for some advice on the following:
-looks like film runs...

Re: Wedding Contracts
One thing I added recently is that I have full creative control over the video. I had a bride that wanted revision after revision.

Re: Starting in the Wedding Business...
If you get the crazy idea to hand hold the gh2, do some test before the event and look at the footage. You want three points of contact for stabilization and with hand holding (depending on how...

Re: How much better is GH2 over Canon T3i?
I shoot with a 5d mark II, t2i and a gh1. I deliver a trailer, short film and backup documentary edit of the ceremony and speeches. Gh1 I use for the documentary footage. Packages start at $1k, I'm...

Re: How much better is GH2 over Canon T3i?
One thing I wonder about is why the guys like still motion, Joe Simon have not migrated over to the panasonics? Is it because they are too busy to learn the new cameras? Although I hear that still...

Re: Powerful, Dependable LED Lighting?
Regarding the Comer's 1800, it seems like it would be a harsher light source than say a 1'x1' led panel (since its a point source). I guess for dancing at a reception both lights would be so far...

Re: DSLRs: am I just being paranoid?
Because dslr's give you the future tech today. I'd love a red epic, and in 5-10 years that tech will trickle down so that we can use it in our workflows.
Dslr's are designed to mimic film. Film...

Re: anyone using the Manfrotto 561 BHDV monopod?
I have both a photo monopod and a 561 BHDV. The normal photo monopods are not great with video. They stutter when you do a pan.
My solution to using a monitor on the monopod is to use a long...
