Re: Premiere has just stopped me capturing with my Sony HVR-m15u??

It's been years but I remember my Z5U not capturing or just getting a black screen. I can't remember what the issue was, I thought it was a setting in either Premiere or the camera. Anyway I agree...

Re: Looking for a pro camcorder

I have the X70 & highly recommend it. It has XLR inputs, ND filters, optional upgrade to 4K for about $400 so it future-proof, 1" sensor & full manual controls, XAVC. As I dive more & more into the...

Re: PXW-X70 Wonky Sound issues

Tough to say, however where are the lavs placed? On the interviewees shirt collar like an interview/deposition? If so, if its there as they play the instrument that would make sense it would sound...

Re: Go pro as go to camera

Sounds like a niche, or (don't take this the wrong way) gimmick. There was a wedding videography company a few years ago who shot pretty serious weddings on Iphones. They had lenses hooked up via USB...

Re: What to do with my XL1s?

Probably not a huge market for it, but they are listed on ebay. I sold a Canon GL2 a few years ago, buyer said he did church livestreaming in SD & it fit his needs. About $200-300 is about what you...

Re: Sony A7rIII arriving mid Nov

Seems amazing and for still photography even right up there with the a9. Has alot of shared parts & features.I have a VG900 (e-mount) and have been telling myself in a year or two I'll upgrade to the...

Re: Another 1920 X 1080 and 1440 X 1080 question

I had an HDV camera. One thing I occasionally ran into was when creating text graphics, then exporting, the aspect ratio of the text would be thrown off & look awkward because when you're exporting...

Re: Where Do I Get These Graphics?

Agree with others, AE. Honestly, Stevens right, you could easily put 8 hours in to getting it done, especially if you're new to After Effects. Or, gig it out.

Think of it this way, if you spend 8...

Re: a7siii ?

I think an announcement is set for October 25th. Not confirmed as to what it is, but I think a new camera of sorts is expected.

Re: I am embarassed to ask but....

Premiere CC does it with ease. Funny, I thought I was naive to it when I started last year, and this year thought I was behind because I don't 'shoot' proxy files with my X70, I do want to try that...

Re: Hard of Hearing, can you help with something (favor)

Yeah, they walked in looking like a rag tag bunch, but they were fun & got the dance floor going, interacting well with the guests. It was a Sunday night too, which tends to be harder to get the...

Re: Hard of Hearing, can you help with something (favor)

Hey thanks alot, its a lead at least. I was hearing 'Best Event Talent.com' or something, and yeah either L Music or O Music. Not seeing them on the site or FB. The couple was down from NYC which is...

Hard of Hearing, can you help with something (favor)

I worked a wedding with a pretty good band. Not high end, but younger guys trying their best & putting their all into it. The reception floor was lively, and they seemed to sorta having a turning...

Re: a7sii price just increased???

Just a (marketing) guess , maybe if an a7sii is released and priced at $2999, they want the previous model to be closely priced, so more people up it to the new model, as opposed to wanting to save...

Re: Dance Class Highlights (Looking For Feedback)

IMHO it looks a bit underexposed. I'd maybe open it up a stop or two, or bump up the gain. Understandably there seems to be a big spotlight location on stage, but alot of the shots the dancers don't...

Re: Livestream Studio - Full Version is now FREE!

Thanks, sounds like I need to dive deeper into it. I saw some plugins for it, but the stock version of it seemed a bit rudimentary. I did get the feed going, but pure video only. Wasn't aware it did...

Re: Livestream Studio - Full Version is now FREE!

Thanks Chris, admittedly weddings aren't a huge market I'm going for with it, due to the lack of prep I can do, and control over connectivity. I also wouldn't want it to be a liability if the...

Re: Subject no longer wants to be in film

I'd probably go with Pete, adapt. Take a step back and think 'Can I adjust course on this storyline?'.

Other than that, what can you do? You see, to you this may be everything. You're full steam...

Re: Livestream Studio - Full Version is now FREE!

Was playing with my X70 stream settings last night. Firmware 3.0 for it has a Ustream menu setting, but with some final weddings the rest of this year still to come I don't wanna brick the camera, so...

Re: Drone striking Southwest Airlines 737 -- how it was faked

I guess I was referring to driving down the road/highway & all is fine at 50mph, then suddenly this plastic thing lands right in front of you. Completely surprised & caught off guard, you swerve to...

re: Drone striking Southwest Airlines 737 -- how it was faked

A drone wouldn't do anywhere near that amount of damage. Planes are going about 200mph on landing, what do drones max at, 25mph. Let alone mass, strength of build & momentum.

Yeah, its possible...

Re: Sigma Lenses and MC-11

Sigma makes A-mounts, couldn't you buy a Sigma A-Mount and use a LAE3 adaptor for E-mount? I have the 35mm 1.4, incredible in low light, although I can understand if you want a little bit of a zoom.
