Hi Denis. Looks like a dirty head to me. What brand of tape do you normally use? As Cynthia says, switching brands can cause head clogging problems.

I agree with Tripp. It only makes sense to use HDMI if you are doing a tethered capture and bypassing the HDV tape compression. If you are capturing from tape you should use FW.

Auto focus has always been unreliable when lighting is poor, or when the subject lacks features (e.g. a flat wall). If you have to shoot in these conditions it is much better to use manual focus.

Hi Terry. As far as I know, Cine mode only affects the exposure, gamma and colour matrix, not the frame rate. It is 24P that is the real problem I think.
