Re: Canon Glass Questions
I have the 8-15 fisheye and think it is a great lens. But it is a fisheye so if you want a rectilinear view, wouldn't be the best lens for the purpose and for that a trusted friend who has used the...

Re: PPro CS6 no Maxing (intel) CPU on export
Hard to say without knowing a lot more details about both systems, but my first guess would be that your PC has a faster HDD subsystem so the CPU doesn't have to wait on it. The CPU can't crunch...

Re: What is this Now, Grrrrrrrr

Drobo has announced the Mini and 5D, both of which will have TB and USB3. No word yet on how suitable they will be for multi-stream HD video editing.

Harm, I'm with you and Noa on the XF100.
It has everything else your friend wants except shoulder mount -- and as pointed out already, "travel size" and "purpose-built as shoulder mount" are...

Re: CS6 Mac vs. Windows Difference
John, thanks again for that insight, although I got more than I bargained for.
It is a little surprising but much appreciated to get a reliable end-user report from someone using both types of...

Re: Editing XDCAM EX footage in Premiere Pro CS6
Yes, the multi-cam workflow is for multiple simultaneous camera angles, and is generally more demanding of a computer than editing one or two video tracks at a time for a narrative. It sounds like...

Re: Editing XDCAM EX footage in Premiere Pro CS6
Hi Anders and welcome to DV Info Net.
I concur with Ryan; my editing box is now over two years old and I routinely do long-form multicam edits of 3-5 streams of HD footage, mostly Canon MXF...

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro choking on mundane stuff
Multiple versions of CS should co-exist on the same system with no problem as they are completely separate installs. Similarly, you should be able to uninstall a version without affecting the...

Re: beginner needing help xf100
Richard, I wasn't really certain from your post if you're having trouble with color/gamma or if the main problem is really that your images don't have sharp enough edges to suit your needs.

Re: I have a problem with my CF cards
The cards are rated to write at 40MB/sec (bytes) and 67MB/sec, respectively, and the camera records at 50Mb/sec (bits). So pure recording speed wouldn't be the root of the problem. There are Delkin...

To my limited and non-lawyerly understanding, there are at least two questions at play here:
1. CAN they sue? That's the easy one and the answer is almost certainly yes. It is often said that...
