Glad I stumbled upon this thread... I am having a much improved website built right now and this was one of my biggest concerns. In the end I went with "we", so I'm glad other people see things the...

Re: Hero 3 frame rates
Keep in mind that most of GoPro's marketing/recommendations are designed for people with little or no camera experience at all.
For the majority of people, 1080p30 handheld will result in shaky,...

I've wondered about a standing desk myself since having back surgery 18 months ago. These days I can't edit for more than about two hours at a time without needing a break.

I prefer a ball head for exactly the reasons you stated - its fast and easy. I can set up the slider without a tripod on any surface - uneven rocks, furniture, shelves, etc - and then get my horizon...

Re: Stuttering slow mo with 5D MK2 footage
The Canon 5dmkII is the only one of the Canon HDSLR's that does not shoot 50por 60p.
It is limited to either 24, 25 or 30fps which means you do not have the ability to get smooth slow motion. ...

Re: GoPro Hero 3 FOV options
Ray, for stills, yes you are essentially correct. But because the sensor is much higher resolution than HD video, it allows only a portion of the sensor to be used and still get a sharp 1080p image...

Re: Can we do this yet? Video length

Re: Go Pro Still Photo Field of View
Also keep in mind that in photo mode any cropping is going to throw away resolution - it is just as easy to shoot at full res and then crop later in post, assuming you have enough card-space.
