Re: Anyone score any black Friday deals?

Picked up a GH3 for my girlfriend at £480. I thought it would come with Panasonic's £100 off offer, but it seems to have disappeared into thin air. Thinking of returning it for an EM10, as I think...

Re: Has anyone here switched from 5D3 to GH4 for weddings?

Very true. The A7ii has IBIS, which I assume is sensor technology borrowed from the OM-D? Hopefully Olympus will release a 12 megapixel video camera using the same sensor tech as the A7S in the near...

Re: Has anyone here switched from 5D3 to GH4 for weddings?

Really? I think high ISO is the one main issues for a lot of people when considering shooting with M4/3. If they can double performance in this area, moving from acceptable 3200 to 6400, then I think...

Re: Has anyone here switched from 5D3 to GH4 for weddings?

What Steve said.

Interesting to consider 4K coming to a 5D IV though... and the C400 would be so expensive, I'd say it would be out of the price range (considering 5D3 vs GH4).

I also love...

Re: Has anyone here switched from 5D3 to GH4 for weddings?

You'd need to consider the drawbacks of the GH4 vs the 5D3 even more... like how does low light performance compare to the 5D3 on the GH4? Personally, I find myself looking at the A7S with a sad...

Re: Feedback Wanted: Same Day Edit and Highlight Film

Hi Kyle,

I'm struggling with my Internet today, but another course you may wish to consider would be Creative Live's training sessions with Ray Roman. In my opinion, it's better than Rob Adams'...

Re: Hong Kong Wedding Highlights

Incredible work Luke! An absolute pleasure to view!

Love your intro, prep shots, details, dress, especially your choice of angle for the hair.

What I've taken from your film, is how to cut...

Re: Any one only offering highlights?

Love Roger's comments!!!

I am someone who adores Ray Roman, and I've taken a lot from his course, along with Rob Adams' banned course. However, after editing my two recent weddings, I realise...

Re: New monitor advice

Thoughts on Apple's new 5K iMac though?

I honestly think that screams value for money when someone next upgrades their system as a whole.

If you're considering doing that, then I'd consider...

Re: CF card failure?

Very true... but then we move into rig territory if you're also using an external mic... I'm pretty wary of keeping everything minimal...

With the new processor being so powerful in the GH4, I'm...

Re: CF card failure?

Panasonic need to start doing dual slot recordings on their cameras. I was tempted to buy a second GH4, but I'm going to wait until the GH5 in the hope that they bring dual slot recording...

It...

Re: Sensor damage?

How strong are the lasers?! Are these different from the usual disco lights?

Insane that DJs can destroy your equipment.

Thanks Peter, I'm going to consider it!

I wish this thread had grown 3 pages deep by now - surely there are more resources available to us?!

Re: So where do we go from here? (whats next in video?)

Definitely agree with you Noa.

My main issue with 4K for the masses is that the regular broadcasting channels in the UK, such as BBC, STILL DON'T supply all of their programmes in HD, which shows...

Re: I said i would not put him in the video but?

Hi Pete!

Can you tell me if it's worth buying this book for £80? A new edition is due for publishing at the end of the month and the original is close to £700 used.

Is it worth it for a...

Re: squarespace/video

Nice site. I enjoyed watching The Story of Kate and Oliver too - nice work.

I quite like the look of the site, as well as the animations, but I think I still prefer the look of Smug Mug,...
