Can't seem to find them...
I'd love to read those posts. Searching that lens model number only turns up this thread. I'm about to put that lens in the "package" for purchase! Sounds great - but I'd love some real world...

HD200U + the HD lens 17:1?
Give me some specs. I'm buying next week....I suppose renting would work for the moment, until one can be ordered...email off list if you want, let's talk. I'm in VA.

Kudos to Scott @ Tapeworks
Thanks to Scott Cantrell at Tapeworks (http://tapeworkstexas.com/) for spending an inordinate amount of time with me on the phone regarding a big order...I really appreciate your efforts.

WooHooo! Finally.
I'm jazzed. As long as the apps can keep up, the quad cores will pay for themselves. If you're worried about 1500, then you probably won't gain much from the time savings they would offer.

I went back to my shopping cart and the HD200 had fallen out....B&H is "taking orders" - does this just mean they're selling really well, or is something else going on?
I've got a shoot coming...

DSR-11, no question.
I use the DRS-11. Matter of taste, though, I suppose. With the deck, you can still use the camera - either on a shoot or capturing on a second computer. Lots of reasons to get a deck; speed,...

I would stay away from the 4-channel goodness of DV. I've used it. I used to run the stereo mic into 1/2 and had a shotgun/lav on 3/4. The second pass to capture really puts a kink the workflow...
