Re: looking for a iriver replacement
I synch mine by pluraleyes. I use DSLRs now along with a HMC150. So the closeups are all short clips, but when I was using the Canon A1, I would consistently have 1 hr clips that kept synch fine with...

Re: looking for a iriver replacement
You know fellas. I've had the same experience. I've about 200 weddings under my belt with Irivers and now Zoom H1s, H2s, H4N, and the Tascam DR40 and never experienced enough drift to notice and all...

Re: couple of questions about Mk.III Lens
I just shot a reception with the 24-105 and mkIII and I can tell you it is awesome. I shot at f4 1/50 at 8000 ISO and it was clean and clear. It felt like shooting with the 50 1.4 but with about 8 ft...

Re: too many cameras?
Thanks for the replies. I also have a HMC150 and a TM900 that I use for a constant shot so, no need there. As it is, I usually have my second shooter on the 60D with the 70-200 where I shoot the...

too many cameras?
OK,
I just got my mkiii. The original plan was to sell the mkii and shoot with the mkiii and 60d. Then, I got to thinking that it would be more difficult to match the 60d with the mkiii in low...

Re: Any idea what's causing this audio problem?
Lalo,
Also could be dirty heads. Especially on a PD170. If it's critical there's a company called Sony Media Services
Sony Media Services (http://www.sonymediaservices.com/)
That will repair...

I would love to have stuck with B & H but I found it at Canon first :) By the time B & H got theirs in stock, mine was already shipped.

Re: One song, One take, One camera.
Russ, this may not be related, but here is a channel of one take, one camera music videos I've done over the last three years. Mobility and angles are what it's all about. I shot all 85 of these on a...

Re: 5D Mk3 in stock now!
So here's a question. I ordered mine from Canon direct. Howcome they charge sales tax and no on else does. This makes the effective price up to 7% more depending on your state... Does anybody know?...

Re: Audio recorder that will sync up with video
8 Gb I get 6:30 or so. You tend to get lazy with offloading the more you have on the card. :) I also have never found a drift issue on the H1 or H4n over 3 or 4 hours of workshops or receptions....

Re: does anyone use the Sony NEX FS100

Looks like video to me. Just like the old days. I've been interested in this camera for a while, but looking at this and other samples I've seen, it looks ok but still like video. Very sharp. ...

Re: tight circle on the dance floor
first off, if you're using the 50 1.4 or any very low aperture lens in that situation it can be tough. I use the 16-35 2.8 on 5d on a monopod and get great overhead shots of these kinds all the time....
