Re: C100 buying in US for UK

Re: I still see people asking if the C100 is worth the upgrade...

Re: Time to review my backup strategy

We have the ds413 and it's fast enough to have several people edit from it at once.

Saves copying things to our local machines. Plus they run raid 0 so wouldn't want to store anything on them...

Re: Time to review my backup strategy

You would need to format them. Nas units will have a specific file structure and if it's raid then it needs to initialise them for the stripe.

A nas is a great way to automate a lot of tasks. You...

Re: Sony Vegas Pro or Suite Specifically For Weddings

We have sound forge and haven't opened it in years. Vegas built in audio editing is pretty awesome. Im sure there are people who do use it but for weddings and what we do Vegas does it just fine.

Re: Pro 13 press announcement

Its kind of bad when you feel like you have to assign a mouse button to quick save so you dont loose too much work every day.

I have one of my thumb buttons as play/pause and another as save. I...

Re: Editing C100 MTS in Vegas Pro?

When working with files in PF25 or PF30 (the progressive format wrapped in an interlaced mess) you need to tell vegas that the clip is actually Progressive as well as the project settings.

You do...

Re: Hybrid shooting -- good/bad idea?

Dont forget that while many togs charge more they have greater costs. While we deliver disk in a pretty box they have album costs to include. When we looked at supplying the likes of a Graphi or...

Re: Hybrid shooting -- good/bad idea?

Also consider your framerate. Your most likely want to shoot...
