Just a long shot - LCD brightness setting?

Or are these comparisons made in an editing system?

DSLR video remote - beat the 13 min limit

Selling my PCLix video remote for Canon and many other DSLR cameras.

Used twice - very handy for event videographers for the B-Cam and a one man band.

Remotely re-starts the camera every 13...

Re: 29.59 record limit

Ok got it as I also tried this on the 5D and it went for over 15 minutes as well. I guess that it did this as the camera was still and pointed at the wall and therefore not data in the video stream.

Re: 29.59 record limit

I received another card today and re did the same test, this time I filmed it and also kept the file.

It did stop at 14.05 for some reason. However recorded past 12.59. The captured file is...

Re: Live music recording with the JuicedLink DS214 and Canon 7D

Yes, but I would have liked to have captured their sound for the MC's although I didn't have a long enough XLR cable (needed around 60m) nor enough inputs on the Tascam as I was using 1&2 for the...

Re: Live music recording with the JuicedLink DS214 and Canon 7D

All went well - best sound I have recorded to date.

Not sure if it stacks up to everyone's standards in here - however I am finally happy with a live music sound capture.

Phew!

Thanks again...

29.59 record limit

Bizarre. I just recorded three clips of 29.59 duration on my 7D.

I have used it for five live events in the past year and always stopped and restarted before the 12.59 is up like in the 5D.

I...

Re: Live music recording with the JuicedLink DS214 and Canon 7D

Also helpful advice - have asked if they use a Sound Mixing Board and if there is an XLR or 1/4 inch output. They said that is Russian to them.

So have on loan a 20' cable and a AKG C747 (maybe...

Re: Live music recording with the JuicedLink DS214 and Canon 7D

Thanks Chad - very helpful advice.

I was just reading through all the forums and discovered the closer the better for stereo.

I will place as close as possible - means getting the levels right...

Live music recording with the JuicedLink DS214 and Canon 7D

A quick question from a novice.

I am looking at the JuicedLink DS214 and I note it sacrifices the right track to remove the inbuilt gain.

If I am recording music with a Rode Stereo Video mic...

Re: Overheating 7d

I just shot a one hour concert with both my 7D and 5D - neither overheated this time. I manually controlled both.

A couple of months ago, I was shooting closer to the stage lights and had the 7D...

Re: Sharpening in CS4

I'd agree with that Brian. We have morphed this into an Editor post. But while it's here why not?

I have been an Avid fan for 10 years. I've now done a project in CS5.5 and I love it. I don't...

Re: anyone using the Manfrotto 561 BHDV monopod?

Only comment I'd make over that lovely light Gitzo monopod is the Manfrotto has the 3 feet. You can actually support the camera with a small light lens on it (not unattended). But it allows you to...

Re: anyone using the Manfrotto 561 BHDV monopod?

You ordered the one for the comsumer camcorder.

The 561 is larger and rated for higher weight. Mine works fine with the 5DII and the 70-200mm F2.8 IS which bring the camera and lens weight to...

Re: anyone using the Manfrotto 561 BHDV monopod?

I have it - and recommend it. Same as second poster use the 501 plate on all my supports and they're very good. They do protrude from the camera - but with some adjustment and there is plenty you...
