Thanks. I'll try it. If it doesn't work I'll just walk over to the Internet cafe. I actually have almost enough spare cash to buy one, without using the plastic. I was planning on getting one shortly after X-mas. So I'd like to find out as much about this possible problem as I can. "Chucky" told me that Pana wants to keep this under wraps; and my contact never got back to me.

I checked my GS400 and can not hear that special tape sound. I suspect that Panasonic must release top quality product in Japan compare to the rest of the world, and that let me believe I made a right choice to buy the camera in Japan. 8 )

You are most likely correct. However, I hope you didn't end up with a NTSC model to use in PAL country. :-))

You are right. I own JVC GY-DV5000U and PANASONIC GS400. Both are NTSC model and I live in New Zealand which use PAL standard. My future customer in my mind lives in USA, so I don't worry that too much. 8 ) Regards Leigh |
