Does this come with batteries..? Also, I can't seem to find how long the Anton Bauer batteries last powering just the screen... any idea?

Thanks,
Scott

no you have to get your own anton bauer battery ... ive only practiced on it for about 4hrs straight and it was still over 80% full

Don Bloom March 8th, 2009 07:04 AM

An Anton Bauer Dionic 90 battery is just that. 90watts. Do the math. If the monitor pulls say 3 watts then the battery should last approximately 30 hours, if the monitor pulls 10 watts then the battery should last about 9 hours. It all depends on the drain of the powered accessiories.
I used to use the D-90s to power my cameras and even with the light and receiver pulling juice the D-90 batteries lasted a decent amount of time.

Scott Shama March 8th, 2009 11:13 AM

Do the math? How would I even know what the monitor pulls.... I was hoping someone with actual experience would have a real world idea...

well from what i have seen so far a dionic 90 lasts quite a long time for just powering the monitor.

Prosumerish HD/HDV Camcorder

I am looking for a used, but working compact HD/HDV camcorder, preferably something that uses tapes for recording. It doesn't need to be fancy or have XLR inputs or anything, although the more manual control the better. I am looking to spend no more than $1000. Please e-mail me at tvguy@comcast.net if you think you have what I'm looking for.

I bought a kit of 3 set soft box lighting (5600K) for shooting interview and commercial video. I don't need this light, that why I would like to sell.

Attention all PowerMac G5 Owners

I have recently upgraded to a new MacPro and no longer need some of the items that I upgraded my Powermac G5 1.8 dual with:

Sonnet Tempo 4x4 Sata card - gives you 4 internal SATA and 4 external SATA
2 Hitachi 250gb Hard Drives
1 WD 250gb Hard Drive
Sonnet's internal enclosure setup to add 3 extra (5 total) hard drives to your G5
(includes 4 SATA Cables, main connection cable, 3 drive enclosures and mounting plate)
New at least $350.00 asking $200 obo

Radeon X800XT Graphics Card - New $300 - asking $200 obo

The internal enclosure is a godsend and gives you a lightening quick RAID0 setup.
The X800XT is about the best graphics card you can get for that machine.

Good luck!

Michael Galvan March 8th, 2009 08:47 PM

Hey Adam,

I sent you an email about this.

Thanks.

Don Bloom March 8th, 2009 08:53 PM

A monitor of the type that is used on the Pilot would probably draw no more than about 5watts to power it considering it can be powered by AA batteries. Lets be overly cautious and assume it draws 10 watts which is more than most small form factor cameras. how do I know that. Real world experience. For example, my old JVC5000 drew 17 watts and my DSR 250 drew 12 watts so I would doubt that a 5.8 inch monitor that can be powerd by 10 AA batteries would draw much more than 5 if even that. IF the monitor draws 10 watts and the battery is charged to full capacity then by doing the math the Anton Bauer Dionic 90 Li-On battery would run the monitor only for 9 hours if you ran the battery dry. Of course it might last a shorter time if there were some sort of drain on the battery that the operator wasn't aware of.

WTB: Used 16GB or 32GB Panasonic P2 Card

Hi all:

I have a new project beginning and I need some more storage. Does anyone have any 16GB or 32GB P2 cards they would like to sell quickly? I am in LA, would prefer face to face and I can pay cash if you have a good price available.

Thanks,

Dan Brockett

Glidecam 2000 Pro and Forearm Support

I bought this on the forums about a month ago and have since been able to fine a steadicam jr on eBay so I will not need the Glidecam 2000 pro anymore. Reason I am using the JR over the Glidecam is I am flying a HV20 which is barely heavy enough for the JR, yet alone the 2000.

I was able to balance the hv20 on the Glidecam I used a quick release head and a wide angle lens for some extra weight. But I would rather fly lighter if possible.

The forearm support is definitely a nice addition, it spread the weight of the rig over your forearm and not just your wrist.

You will get the Glidecam 2000 pro, all weights, the forearm support, Glidecam DVD and Original Glidecam box. Everything is in like new condition.

$275 plus shipping I will pay for paypal fees.

If you are interested and want to see pictures let me know.

Thanks,
Todd

I have 2 iRiver 899s in pristine condition for sale!

These are the 1GB model. $90 each. Yes these are the ones that can take a mic. The only difference between these and the 700 series is the case design is slightly different. The 800 series was made specifically for Bestbuy (as far as I know) and the 700 series was sold everywhere else. They've been in a drawer in my studio since I bought and opened them. All work perfectly.

email me if you're interested.

Thanks,
Scott

Pelican 1650 case w/foam new

Hi - i just bought this from B&H Photo, but have decided I don't really need it. It's brand new, the foam is untouched, and it can carry a lot of gear safely. It has wheels and a big handle. It's yours for €240. I'll deliver it in Belgium, or ship to you for cost.
