It's out of the market, for now.

Dennis Hingsberg December 18th, 2006 06:22 PM

Asking price for the complete mini35 package as listed above is $4500 USD or best offer*.

Although I am located in Toronto, I also frequent the Buffalo/Rochester area so can meet to deliver unit to USA thus avoiding duty + taxes.

*Typcially "best offer" means if you are serious about buying an item you offer the buyer what you are willing to pay and aren't afraid of asking prices.

Andrew Farrell December 18th, 2006 06:45 PM

Got any pics of the camera w/ matte box?

Ben Bixby December 18th, 2006 07:31 PM

Dropping to $2300.

David Delaney December 18th, 2006 08:03 PM

where can I find hc1's?

I am in the market for a hc1, but I am not sure if there is a forum or a place like DVXuser that deals most or less strictly with this type of camera or sony products. Any ideas?

Matthew Nayman December 18th, 2006 09:31 PM

H aha ha... that explains something.

Okay, will let it go for $1800 american, $2000 canadian.

Jack D. Hubbard December 18th, 2006 09:53 PM

Hard to find...

Hi David,

I just bought an HC-1 on eBay. Couldn't find one on DVi or other forums. They seem hard to come by. I paid $1174 in an auction, and it was, to my good fortune, pristine. That seems to be the best place to look right now. I just checked; there is one up for $885 with four bids. Ebay was my last resort...and it is more chancy than buying something on this forum. Problem is availablity.

Regards,

Jack

David Delaney December 18th, 2006 10:04 PM

thanks, I was hoping someone in the hc1 threads might want to part with a unit. I had one for $900.00 but it got sold on me, alas now I am back to the start looking for a unit under $1000.00

Patrick Moreau December 18th, 2006 10:11 PM

There are no duties and taxes if you ship something from Canada to the US. At least, from the many camcorders, computers, photo and video equipment I have sold over the past 4-5 years there hasn't once been any.

Andrew Todd December 19th, 2006 02:41 AM

ive shipped a gl1 and an xl1s to the states and they had to pay border taxes on it

Will this work with an HD100/ brevis 35 combo?

Daniel Wang December 19th, 2006 11:52 AM

Laptop, still searching.

Recently I posted, but it seems it's not receiving much attention. Hence, a repost.

I guess I will add to the thread, but I am looking for a laptop.

Does NOT have to edit HDV, but maybe simple DV25 format. Must handle PhotoshopCS and Microsoft Office, preferring a 40GB+ hard drive, decent display, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW would be nice. Must have USB/IEEE, Fax/modem, Etherent, and VGA outs.

If you are offering or could suggest.

Willing to trade (& payment):

4 Shure PG58's
2 Shure SM57's
2 Shure SM86's
Bunches of short and long XLR cable.

Or combo-up whatever you might need.

Matt Trubac December 19th, 2006 01:43 PM

Any interest in an Apple Powerbook? It meets or exceeds all of your requirements. 1.67 GHZ, 80GB drive, 1.5GB ram, usb 2.0, ieee-1394 (400 & 800), ethernet, s-video output, dvi output, pcmcia card slot, 15.4" 1280x854 lcd screen. $1,000.

It does a great job with DV25, and I have used it for HDV and DVCPRO HD all in Final Cut Pro 5. The HD stuff starts to push the limits but it is workable. Let me know.

Thanks,
Matt

David Clark December 19th, 2006 01:51 PM

Sorry to have to mention this, they will only fit the XL2.

Wade Spencer December 19th, 2006 01:55 PM

I'm glad you mentioned that!

I thought this was the same piece that fit the older cameras as well. I will update my first post. Thanks David!

Chris Hurd December 19th, 2006 02:56 PM

Actually these plates are compatible with four Canon camcorders. The TA-100 works with the XL2, XL H1, XH G1 and XH A1. So that should broaden your chances for a quick sale by quite a bit. Your price is right, too. They should both sell right away. Hope this helps,

Wade Spencer December 19th, 2006 03:01 PM

Thanks Chris...editing the title again...lol

Charles Perkins December 19th, 2006 03:33 PM

i dont understand, what do these actually do?

FS: Tapco Link.USB portable mixer

I overbought some Tapco (Mackie) Link.USB portable mixers complete with manual, Tracktion 2 Music Production Software and Final Mix CD Mastering Plug-in that normally sells for $150 + tax & shipping. The Link.USB has two XLR inputs, two 1/4 inch TR monitor out jacks, a 1/4 inch headphone monitor, and of course the primary USB output. Yes, it also provides phantom power to your condensor microphones.

I will offer my extra units to our members at $100 out the door (including standard shipping). Of course, these are brand new, never opened from the box (except mine, which is a keeper).

http://www.tapcoworld.com/products/linkusb/index.html

I've always worried my primary recorder might miss a critical session in the field so I use the Link.USB as a second recorder. The unit is USB-powered with the output feeding into your PC or Mac. And unlike some flimsy mixers, these fellas are built to stand up in the field (amazing a for 1.4 pound unit)

Please PM me for questions and PayPal arrangements.

Warm Regards, Michael

FS: Canopus DVStorm 2 Pro Plus with Adobe software!!!

Selling my last Storm card...I just don't use it enough to warrant keeping it anymore, but I'm gonna miss it!!

Includes:

Storm2 card + MPEG encoder board
Stormbay breakout box with cable
Component output daughterboard with cable
Canopus Storm manuals
Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 with manual
Adobe After Effects 6.0 Standard with manual
Adobe Audition 1.0 with manual
Adobe Encore 1.0 with manual

I am not able to find any of the Canopus disks at this time, but if I do, they will be included. You'll want the latest drivers anyway, available from www.canopus.com.

A note about the Adobe software, I used these serial numbers to upgrade to my new production bundle, so I would assume that means you could not use them again to upgrade. I don't know that for a fact, but I would buy this assuming you can not upgrade from them.

I have been working primarily in aerial videography as of late, and there is no need for shallow depth of field in this work. So I'm trying to free up some cash to build my quiver of aerial ships for this type of videography.

Hi Andrew,

For some reason I cannot post pictures to this thread - but I've just posted pictures in the A1 forum to the thread "Matte Box on the A1".

(I have some people asking me to split the matte box out, but I'd prefer to sell the kit as a whole if possible).

Hi Derek,

Can yours work with the HVX200? Also, does it include the step down ring for the HVX?

Thanks!

I was using it on an FX1 which doesn't need any mods, as it is 72mm.

You would need a ring to adapt it to your 82mm.
B&H Photo has them for about $10

For trade - D&S Steadystick

I've got a near-new Davis & Sanford Steady stick like this one:
http://www.tiffen.com/userimages/Com...eady_Stick.pdf
http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct...d&itemnum=SS3C

What the links above don't show is the utility of the handle - it is positionable as a shoulder rest or as a stabilizing handle for the left hand, great for steadying the rig while the right hand is working the zoom.

I've used the rig to advantage in a crowd - adjust the vertical rod to max extension and you have an overhead position that you can hold for a long time, with the weight down on your belt. The sled/platform is fully tiltable, allowing this shot as well as an "overhead" shot looking at the surface of a table or display case. Folds up compactly, I throw it in the case with my tripod, doesn't take up much room.

Comes as shown, with belt, rod with quick release from sled, tiltable sled/platform, and positionable handle. No longer have the original box. For being such an inexpensive and compact rig it really is well engineered.

I'm interested in trading for a shoulder rest of some kind - what do you have? I find that the steadystick is not suitable for me for a walking shot, the abdominal support tends to move the shot around, but is great for a set position. I need to do walking shots...

Warren Shultz December 20th, 2006 04:19 PM

Is this camera still for sale?

Daniel Wang December 20th, 2006 05:14 PM

Sorry, $1,000 seems like a little too much for my current price range.
($300-$600)

Interested in any mics?

Larry Price December 20th, 2006 05:32 PM

Steve,

I'm looking to duplicate your matte box setup on my A1U (unless you decide to split yours up!) and I was wondering which step-down rings you're using. the Cavision web site doesn't seem to have any that would fit this particular application. In fact, if you go to the camera compatibility page and select the A1U and 3x3 matte box, it ominously warns you in all caps: ADAPTER RING NOT AVAILABLE. I'd love to be able to use this setup with both the stock and the wide-angle lenses. If I didn't already have the camera, I'd buy your setup in a heartbeat. Thanks, and best of luck in selling your kit.

Aloha,

Larry
