Canon XL-2 for sale, Still Under-Warranty!
 

I have a Canon XL-2 for sale!

I bought the camera BODY + LENS in MARCH of this year, 2006, so the camera is still under warranty until March of 2007.

The kit (BODY + LENS) came with the "Zoom Lens 20x zoom XL 5.4-108mm L IS"

I have been using it for an independent feature film, as I was the DP. Check out some stills of the work I have created with the camera @

I have recorded less than 24 hours, so my total estimated usage of the camera is 36-48 hours (<24 hours recording + <24 hours non-recording)...

I am selling my baby for $3,000, OBO. I would prefer a local deal, though I will consider shipping.

+The camera has not been used as a stand-alone deck.
+I have only used one kind of tapes, the Panasonic Master-Quality (AY-DVM63MQ)
+I have sparingly given it proper routine cleaning with a Panasonic Cleaner tape after weeks of none-use.
+A protective UV filter was put on the lens ON purchase!
+I have all the original receipts and boxes and manuals.
+I'll throw in a box of 5 of those Panasonic MQ tapes

nearly new HVX200 camera, all original packaging, manuals
4 P2 cards - 8GB each
1 original Panasonic battery, power supply/charger
2 HVX high capacity batteries, charged, but never used.
1 4 position battery charger/power supply including extra 4 pin cable and DC power cable.

Camera was purchased June 23rd and is still under warranty.
Extra batts and charger purchased in August.
Used on 2 shoots (all P2, no tape has ever been recorded) and in like new condition.

Originally cost about $12000.

Prefer to sell as one package for $11,250

Are these rods actual 15mm diameter or are they the 5/8" near-15mm type?

Canon HV10 $900 NYC
 

Ok, here's the deal....I've been waiting for the Canon A1 to come out but it's release has been pushed back a bit (week/s)- so I went to B&H and bought a new HV10 and paid $1099 for it. I need to document the latest bike I'm painting (Sin City theme) so I got the HV10 to document some scenes of it...I will be using a Firestore HD model and will NOT run any tapes in the HV10 meaning it will have ZERO time on the heads/transports- I'm only going to capture the firewire signal!!!

The minute a A1 is available for purchase I will get one and will sell the HV10 for $900- if anyone wants dibs on it, let me know and I'll send ya an e-mail when it's ready to go. It will come with everything in the box as when purchased new and matter of fact I left everything still sealed- all I removed was the camera itself! You'll get the B&H receipt as well- dated today (Oct.30,06) so warranty should still be intact (blank reg cards are inside the box)

Anyone interested in locking this camera up?

(In case you're wondering why I don't return the unit for full refund- I just don't like doing things like that- if the camcorder works perfectly I don't believe in returning things- I'd rather use it for a week and lose $200 than to return a perfectly good unit just to save myself the hassel of selling it- call it bad karma.)

Due to that I'm upgrading my camcorders to HDV, I have a Canon XL2 PAL-version for sale.
The camera is in very good condition, no wear and tear, kept in a bag when not in use. I'm selling it with a Kata raincover, spare BP-945 battery and videolight VL-10.
