Hi Neil,

Just to be clear here, you're selling the white paper that you prepared, a document which describes how you've configured your PC for burning three DVDs simultaneously.

I have no problem with you wanting to sell this, but your post really belongs in our Private Classifieds forum since it is a "for sale" item. Or call it a donation, or support, or whatever you want, but you're asking for money in exchange for information, so I've moved this to our Private Classifieds area for that reason.

I left a re-direct link behind in the DVD forum where you originally posted. Hope this helps,

If anyone is interested the XL1S is still for sale and along with my previous post and price I will include the MA-100.

Mike Rinkunas August 3rd, 2005 09:16 PM

Neil,

Interesting idea. I'll have to look more into that for personal projects.

But i was looking for the 3x wide angle lens for the XL1s, not an adapter. after along talk with my DOP, we agreed on a real wide angle lens instead of simulating one.

Neil Slade August 3rd, 2005 10:05 PM

by all means

by all means, if you can afford a good lens, its easier than making one.
This was for a GL1 also, the XL1 lens is a bit bigger.

I did make a 72mm lens for my DVX that has worked exceedingly well- but I don't know if that's big enough for your camera

Again, significant money saved if you've got the time. If you've got the dough, easier to just pay cash.

Sound Devices MM-1 - Single channel portable microphone preamp with headphone monitor and cut filters. In pristine condition both cosmetically and functionally. Great piece of equipment and is built like a tank. Purchased new last year from B&H, but soon after it's purchase I upgraded my cam and no longer use it. Used in the field once. Details can be found below.

Mole Richardson 1K Fresnel Baby-Baby 2831 with barn doors, extra globe and full double scrim. This Baby-Baby is in used condition but is functionally perfect and is priced to be an excellent value IMHO.

FOR SALE: XL1, XL1-S, XL2 3X Wide Angle Lens

I am the second owner of this awesome autofocus lens. I have used it for a total of about four hours. Inside of the lens hood there is a soft feltish material that is slightly scuffed in a few places, and there are a few scuffs on the lens body from the lens bag rubbing. These of course do not effect the performance of the lens whatsoever. Mechanically, electronically & optically this lens is apsolutely perfect.. It comes with a Canon lens hood, the original front & back lens caps as well as the original lens bag (everything you see in the photos) For detailed photos of the ACTUAL lens - visit here --> http://www.embraced-dc.com/XL_wa_lens/

Asking $999 OBO
Shipping & Insurance: $20
Local pick-up available in west-central Minnesota (near St.Cloud)

If you've got any questions email me - jeff@embraced-dc.com
Thanks guys!

For use with your XL1, XL2 or XL1-S.

Hi Jeff,

Hmm, you must be confusing this with the stock lens. 3X doesn't have image stablization.

Jeff Jassky August 4th, 2005 06:56 PM

I'm sorry. I was writing descriptions to sell all of my XL1 stuff. I got my descriptions screwed up. You're correct - this lens does NOT have Image Stabilization.. and this is in fact the 3X Wide Angle lens. Sorry for any confusion guys.

Jeff Jassky August 4th, 2005 07:04 PM

Hey there, Mike. I just added a thread to sell my Canon 3X XL mount Wide Angle lens, and I noticed your post right below mine. If you're still interested, check out the thread and click the link to see photos.

WTB: 16:9 anamorphic adapter for DVX100

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Panasonic is the only company to sell a 72mm 16:9 anamorphic lens adapter for DVX/DVC camcorders. I want to shoot in 16:9 aspect ration with my DVC80, but don't want to pay $700.

Mike Teutsch August 5th, 2005 10:01 AM

I believe Optex does also, but the price is about the same I think.

Selling broken GL2 cheap

My gl2 got wet a while back and I sent it into Canon to get fixed and they told me tough luck(the parts and labor would cost more than a new camera). Im not exactly sure whats wrong with it but if anyone fixes Gl2s or looking for parts(mechanical parts, body parts, the lens, plastic gears etc.) and wants to make an offer for it, be my guest. I only plan on selling it as one unit, not in pieces. The camera was only 6 months old when it bit the dust and I had only filmed maybe 10 hours max of video on it.

MM-1 has been sold.

Jay Silver August 6th, 2005 07:57 AM

So what doesn't it do?

Does it power up at all or is it just the tape mechanism that failed?

Kevin Foristal August 6th, 2005 08:32 AM

Anyone?

Have an offer, anyone else?

Darren Salomons August 6th, 2005 02:09 PM

The camera got completely submerged in fresh water while the camera was on. So something shorted out. I was told that if the camera wasn't on and I let it dry out it probably would still be working. I let it dry out for a week and tried to see if it would turn on but it wouldnt.

Juan Parra August 6th, 2005 03:07 PM

It's now on eBay

The bag has been put for auction on eBay.
