FS: Switronix battery pkg & Sachtler oncam light

I have the following items for sale.

1) Sachtler 75 Reporter on-camera light - as new condition, tested at most 10 minutes. Purchased new last December from Al-Art Video. Main features are: detachable base, dimmable, focusable from flood to spotlight. Mine comes with the XLR connector + XLR to Anton Bauer power tap connector. Barn doors are not included. Spare 20w & 35w bulbs included. Asking $150.

2) 2 Switronix XPL90S V-Mount batteries - 1 new, I charged the other once to test the Satchler light. Switronix GP2LSJ charger - used once. Purchased new from EVS late last year. The included DV adapter (Switronix GP-S/7.2 DV) allows normal size 3 CCD camcorders (Panasonic, Sony, Canon, JVC) to be connected, giving the cameras very long run times and the option to power an oncam light. Ideal setup for wedding videographers. I have the Panasonic adapter. (1 XPL90 battery will power a DVX100 approx. 10 hours). Reason I purchased this was to power my DVC80 & Sachtler light from one lightweight (2 lbs) source. These batteries have an Anton Bauer power tap connector built in. My Sachtler light has the correct adapter to plug into these batteries. Asking $400

Buy both for $475.

All equipment is in as new condition. Getting out of videography business to concentrate on still camera work.

More details

I'm sorry if I was too unspecific. It is an Optex Anamorphic Attachment x1.6 58mm thread mount. No zoom through. Serial Number 4954.

Currently it is on the way back to Optex. They are going to check if it is okay. I just kept worrying about it. Eventually I assumed that I am NOT exceptionally critical and they should have a look at it.

Another member of this forum sent me some screenshots and they looked definitely better.

So. Perhaps it is a production failure. And I'm not selling it until I know that the lens is indeed ok.

I guess everybody agrees?

Or better, give the reference number written on the adapter.

I am in the same case, purchased one, never used except for some test.
and now most high end cameras comes with native 16/9

Giroud,

Since you don't ever use it, do you want to sell you to someone who might use it often? If so, how much do you want for it?

Giroud Francois August 25th, 2005 04:44 AM

need to think about it.

Yes. Something like that. It's nice to notice that people are interested. But let us wait until Optex has taken a look at it. Which they will at IBC in Amsterdam (second week of september).

Is it okay if I keep you up to date then?

Frank appears to be missing in action and unless we find he has been in a major auto accident, this looks very fishy. First post and no response!

Actors Wanted...

We are shooting a very low budget indie film in the Southern California Area. We are looking for actors. The pay is extremely lousy and your talent needs to be great. But if someone is looking for experience maybe it can be a win win. Just so people know, when I mean low budget; the entire budget is somewhere around $8,000 total.

Mike Teutsch August 25th, 2005 05:26 PM

Man, and here I sit only 4000 miles away in Southern Florida. You may have needed and old cratchity type guy too! Wish I could help.

Best of luck, and I'm sure you find people to help in SoCal.

He did post a phone number as well as an email address. Perhaps he was expecting people to respond in that fashion. Probably doesn't know that he needs to come back and check here on further inquiries.

Yeah, I still have faith in the human race sometimes. The info he posted does check out as David mentioned in an earlier post. Someone should call him and let him know that folks have more questions about the gear.

Actor

Hi,

Have you checked out Actor's Workshop in LA or San Diego yet? You can browse their actors' profiles for free. These are actors with extensive stage and some low-budget film acting experiences.

Good luck!

FS: Brand New Century Optics .7X Wide Angle Lens

Up for sale is a brand new, still in the box, Century Optics .7X Wide Angle Lens, model number 0VS-07CV-75. This wide angle converter is fully zoom through and is compatible with the Canon 14X Manual XL Lens.

I will include the wide angle lens and everything that came with the Century Optics factory box. I will also throw in a brand new Century Optics sunshade, model number 0VS-FA95-00, made specifically for Century Optics' .6X and .7X wide angle lens adapters. This sunshade holds one round 4 1/2" filter and provides a very inexpensive way of controlling light without the use of a high-end and costly mattebox.

The .7X wide angle usually goes for $675 while the sunshade is $165. But you can have BOTH brand new, mint condition items for $700 plus shipping.

Send me a private message or email if you're interested and would like photos of the items. Thanks!

WTB: PDX10 in Canada

I would like to buy a used PDX10 camera - the NTSC format.

I live in Williams Lake BC and would like to buy from Canada only due to the savings of duty and other taxes.

My brother and I are aspiring film-makers on a limited spending budget for now. My price range for the camera itself is about $1200 Canadian ($1050+ USD) or a little more pending on accessories. Almost new ones(15-20 hours) are going on E-bay for around $1550 CAD ($1275 USD) so this should be ballpark for one a little more used. I'm not as concerned about cosmetics.

My e-mail is kurtan@telus.net and my name is Kurtis Hemmerling.

Thanks for all responses.

Also - Can anyone recommend a good camera(3ccd) in the same price range that has NATIVE 16:9 filming mode? Other cameras are nice but I am finicky about having good quality widescreen without anamorphic adapters or just letterboxing it.

Canon MA-300 XLR Adapter For Sale

I am selling my MA-300 Microphone Adapter. It is in pristine condition and works perfectly. I have owned it for about a year, and need to use the hot shoe on my GL-2 for other purposes.

I am asking $120 plus shipping for it.

Im searching for a canon xl1(s) or a canon xm2 PAL version

Jesse Parsh August 26th, 2005 02:52 PM

I assume that this would also be good for the gl1.

Brian Miller August 26th, 2005 03:40 PM

Yes, it works for the GL-1 too. It gives you two XLR jacks, and feeds the audio through the hot shoe on top of the camera.
