How about some *silent* B-roll I quickly shot one Sunday last Summer
on the Charles River just as a week-long rainfall had subsided
by the late morning and the sky had cleared up by early afternoon, it was very windy though!

don, your last link is a duplicate of the first angenieux one.

also, the cat power video is in RAM format, which is a shame because i wanted to see it, but i'm not willing to put Realplayer on my machine haha..

lastly, might be a good idea to post some FULL size video, as opposed to 320x240 or whatever the .mov links were, simply because it's hard to see the disparity in sharpness / clarity of a 35mm lens vs. the XL1s when the video is so tiny. (just a constructive thought)

Thanks for your input. Link was corrected! I'll see what I can do about full-size clips - although if you actually take a look see - you'll see the difference.

I use RealOne Player (Real Player 10) which is eons and eons and eons better than the standard Real Player that you are thinking of - no advertising too.

Using high end glass such as a Zeiss SuperSpeed is going to yield a higher end, more resolute and more "cinematic-looking" image with a more supple taper on the depth of field (provided you know how to shoot well). Zeiss Super Speeds are my favorite for use with the PL-XL1 adaptor.

Mike the only thing I think you could be referring to is the bvm-d9h5u which is a 9" HD monitor which isnt' really a replacement for the 8045

If your son can deal with Jap menus, you can get the Jap version of the 953 for $800 brand-new. It would have been a lot cheaper if not for the strong Yen.

Your MA-200 with the baterry charger for 300.... is it the CH-910 with all the original parts? if so ypu gtot a buyer for that one.

I might be interested in some stuff, the 3x lens, maybe the matte box... lights? give me some details about the shock mount.

Kristopher, yes indeed it is the ch910 with all the parts so that it will connect to the ma-200 (had issues with missing parts prior to buying this one/ learned the hard way) I'll send you pictures if you'd like me to.


Jean-Phillippe the shockmount (the only good thing that came with that crummy boom pole) I believe is by audio technica it has a bands holding a clip, if you'd like I'll send you a picture later on tonight.

Yes, if you can , send me some pictures of the shock mount, the lens, matte box and lights. I have some money to invest in video equipement, but I did not finish yet to determine my needs.

I do accept paypal, but I prefer the bank account transfers as opposeed to the credit cards, (which paypal chargers like a 5% fee on... blah) but if you have to use a credit card we'll figure something out.

I totally understand figuring needs out so please take your time.
