WTB-gl1,gl2, or VX

Hello
I am looking to purchase a used 3ccd camera and would prefer
a gl1, gl2, vx1000, or vx2000.
My budget is limited to around $800 to $1200. I do not need a bunch of extras, just the camera, battery, and charger.
If you have anything in this price range, please email me.
samueltforbes@yahoo.com
Thanks and have a great day!

Steve Nunez March 6th, 2004 05:26 PM

If you don't find what you're looking for- you might want to look at the Panasonic DV953 and GS70- both 3CCD cams within your budget.

Frank Granovski March 6th, 2004 05:53 PM

B&H is selling the PV-DV953 for around $1200 these days.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. However, I am really only interested in the Canon and Sony 3ccd's.

Frank Granovski March 6th, 2004 06:25 PM

For a max of $1200, that leaves the GL2 and VX2000 out of the picture. The GL1 and VX1000 only have a horizontal line playback of 460 lines, coupled with noise. The GL1 doesn't have the greatest audio; I can't recall if the VX1000 has DV-in/out.

Sam Forbes March 6th, 2004 07:22 PM

I am looking for USED. Thanks

David,
Isn't MB cross-platforrm? That is, the same software CD works for Windows and Mac (since the product is an After Effects plug-in)?

Sam Forbes March 7th, 2004 06:03 PM

Anyone??? Thanks in advance.

FS PAL XL1 Package+ lights+ Sennheiser Mic+ AGUS 35

Hello all, I'm looking to sell my PAL XL1 package in the next few weeks, It's great little set up and perfect you folks who are looking to make something moroe film look. (do a search of PAL vs. NTSC to see what I'm talking about) The camera was just recently serviced by Stone's Electronics here in L.A. I did that because I was switching tape stock from sony to the panasonic master quality minidv tapes. The camera has seen very little use since I purchased it last year, because shortly after I purchased it I got a job at a rental house and was granted access to their equipment. I'm looking to sell the whole caboodle so here's the list.

XL1 body + two of the larger and one of the smaller batteries
battery charger + battery charger/car adapter
3x wide angle lens
14x manual lens
ma-200
portabrace bag
cavision 4x4 mattebox
tiffen 4x4 polarizer
tiffen 4x4 1/4 Black Promist
Tripod with quick release (generic)
Sony 8" monitor (8044q) with 16:9 and 4:3 PAL and NTSC
5 np1's (of verying strength plus charger)

Sennheiser me66 and k6 base unit
2 Lowel Tota lights with case and such
1 omni light
A nice hard case for the lens and light (not on the camera) and the mic

Also included is a ef adapter that I've taken apart in order to create an agus 35 but has not been completed, if I have the time I'll try and complete the darn thing and throw in an ef lens. but that'll probably raise the price.

This is a lot of stuff and it's all in excellent condition except the 14x lens has a small (not noticable through camera) scratch on the coating of the lens.

I know I'm going to get about 20 people wanting to break up the package but I'd really like to get read of everything all at once, however if i can't find a buyer I'll start piecing everything out before going on ebay.

Make me an offer I'm looking in the 6k range possibly more if the agus thing works

There's also a heck of a lot of cables

Glen Elliott March 7th, 2004 06:35 PM

I have had several more inquiries as to the pending sale of this item.

Jean-Phillippe, if you want me to hold it for you for more than a few more days, I will need some sort of deposit on it.

Kata bag for Canon XL1 for sale

I am selling a Kata bag for a Canon XL1 or XL1s camera. I bought it brand new and its just like brand new because I only used it a few times. I video wildlife in the outdoors and the bag is just too big to take in the field. As a result, it has just sat not being used in the house. I bought a smaller very light weight bag I use to carry the camera in. If you are looking for a kata bag you can buy this one and basically get a brand new bag and save $100-$150 from the price of one in the store. The kata bag does a great job protecting the camera and has enough storage room for your extra lenses, the camera, battery and charger, plus the wires. Its great for taking on trips or flights. I am not sure the exact # of the style of kata bag I have, but its the big blue one with a canvas type material. You can find it on the canon webstites for around $300 plus. If you are interested in the bag contact me and I can send you a picture of it through the email The part # is CCC10 I would put it on this ad but I am at work right now and don't have it available. I am asking $200 for the bag. You can call me for more info or to make an offer at (217)442-4651 or just email me.
Thanks,
Sean Lange teamlange1@yahoo.com

XL1 and extras for sale!

It's been a while since I've been here but since having a baby and becoming more invloved with my "true love" music and song writting I've decided to sell all my camera gear! :(

I've just finished editing my last wedding DVD for 2003 and I hope I never go to another wedding again! :)

I still love my XL1 but love some audio recording gear more!
It's funny because a few years back I sold most of my audio gear and bought the XL1 so I can make some money!

I have a Canon XL1 with the 16 x and 3x wide lens, Isolater system, equalizer wind screen, dual charger, 4 batteries, 10 watt light, quality camera bag and a few other items.
It has been serviced almost every year since I bought it.
(I think it's 4 or 5 years old)

I live near Vancouver, BC, Canada so if your interested please email me and I will give you better details regarding the gear and price!

Thanks......

George Denson March 9th, 2004 07:18 AM

Last offer. $500 plus S&H. Any takers? If not I will give it back to my friend and he can use it as a base for his TV set.
George

Dylan Couper March 9th, 2004 10:20 AM

Hey Adam!
Long time no see!

Are you interested in selling any accessories seperatly? There are a few small items I'm interested in.

Dylan

Kevin Burnfield March 9th, 2004 10:46 AM

if you can find a picture of it off a website and give that link that might help people decide which one this is.

A Kata part number would be even better.

Moises Crespo March 9th, 2004 10:54 AM

Adam Wakely March 9th, 2004 06:17 PM

Hi dylan.

I'm going to keep everything together as I wish to sell it all at once. I'm not in a hurry to sell it so I can wait for a buyer who wants it all. (easier to sell that way as well)
I already have a few interested though some friends.

Nice to see you're getting around in the video field!
Keep it up!

Adam...

Glen Elliott March 9th, 2004 07:25 PM

If you have problems selling the items and *do*, indeed, decide to sell them- I'll take the forearm brace off your hands.

Sean Lange March 9th, 2004 09:17 PM

Reduced price

I have reduced the price on my camera package. I am still selling everything mentioned above, except for the kata bag. Most people that have contacted me about the camera said they didn't want to pay the extra for the expensive bag and extender lense. They suggested selling only the camera and kit mentioned above. So I am now asking $2900 for the camera, kit, and extender lense, and $2700 for the camera and kit without the lense. If you want more info contact me and I will send a picture.
Like I said earlier, the camera is like brand new, some stuff is still in the wrapper. I also have the original manual. I have used the camera probably less than 10 hours. I would call it mint condition because I haven't scratched or dinged it.

David Mintzer March 9th, 2004 11:04 PM

Yes Ken--I'm so Windows oriented that the recency effect took hold---the version works with both but it was sold about an hour ago--

Sean Lange March 10th, 2004 03:40 PM

Kata bag is sold!

I just wanted to post that I sold the Kata bag already.
Thank you!

Man, I'd love to get that gear.

But, can't afford (nor do I really need) another camera right now.

But can you tell me about that case? I'd love to check into getting one of those.

Thanks!
