JVC GYHD-111E for parts

1 Attachment(s)
This camera is perfect EXCEPT one of the ccds doesn't work anymore! At least that's what my JVC dealer told me. Red, green but no blue. And out of warranty. Doesn't that just break your heart? If it's of any use to you take it away.

Paul R Johnson January 1st, 2012 09:33 AM

Re: JVC GYHD-111E for parts

Despite being tempted to offer to take it off your hands, the chances of the fault being exactly what they have told you is quite small. If a CCD fails on chip - then you usually get part of the image. No image at all from that sensor suggests that the driver circuitry could be to blame. So it could potentially be repaired - the snag is the time to do it probably makes it uneconomic to repair - this is usually what workshops use as a guide to say something is scrap - it could be fixed, given time. An enthusiast with plenty of time could fix it?

Other than that, the viewfinder, tripod plate and the lens still have value. Stick it on ebay and you'll have the choice of breaking it for spares, or selling it as 'for spares or repair'.

It still has value - not much, but still worth doing.

Re: JVC GYHD-111E for parts

Thanks for that Paul. I'm not great with the whole ebay thing but I might give it a shot. If I knew anything about circuitry I would have a go - but sadly not.

Sigma 14mm f/2.8 EX lens for Canon - US$400 plus shipping

1 Attachment(s)
Sigma 14mm f/2.8 EX for Canon. Great wide-angle lens, works on full-frame (5D) or other crop cameras. Excellent condition, only very minor dust inside that doesn't show in photos or video (no mold). Vignettes at f/2.8, but looks great at f/4.0 and higher. Used for about a year, now discontinued from Sigma. Asking US $400 plus shipping cost.

Reason for selling? I'm now using the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 on the Canon 60D/7D, so I no longer need this lens. It's been an excellent lens so far, still in great working condition. Front element is in mint condition, and the lens body itself shows very little signs of wear.

Email me your shipping address for a quote.

Sony LMD440 4x4" SD video multimonitor $750 OBO

3 Attachment(s)
Sony LMD440 4 x 4" multi video monitors suitable for ISO viewing of composite sources.

2 rack units high - VERY compact and lightweight.

4 BNC Inputs with pass through.

Ideal for church or other institutional multicamera live/IMAG environments.

Each monitor is individually adjustable for brightness, contrast, colour phase and chroma level.

Original brochure here:
https://pro.sony.com/bbsc/assetDownloadController/bkm320d%20brochure.pdf?path=Asset%20Hierarchy$Professional$SEL-yf-generic-153697$SEL-yf-generic-153718SEL-asset-45576.pdf&id=StepID$SEL-asset-45576$original&dimension=original

Has been mounted in a road case until very recently. I am the original owner.

LOW serial number.

CAVEAT EMPTOR:
The dials on these units are NOTORIOUSLY poorly made. One is lost to the ages as it arrived broken from Sony and has fallen off in transit over the past 7 years. You can see this in the picture below. For adjusting contrast on that monitor, I just grab one of the other dials.
If you look at the image of a similar unit for sale in the UK here:
Sony - LMD-440 - LCD Monitors/Good Condition/£600.00 each (id:130431)
you'll notice it is missing a dial as well.

Professional level gear used solely in pro environment.

Reason for sale: moved to HD production exclusively.

Redrock Micro DSLR Support Rig

1 Attachment(s)
This rig was purchased as individual parts, and then used in a variety of re-configurable ways when shooting with a Canon 7D DSLR camera.

It is easily re-configurable, like an erector set for DSLR film production. It can be set up in a “cage” configuration, to easily attach a follow focus, matte box, external monitor, and any other external device imaginable. Or, it can be set up as a stripped-down, short hand-held rig. Or, anywhere in between.

As you can see from the photo, there are enough parts to almost have two completely different rigs already built, just interchange the DSLR mount.

Original purchase price was over $2000. Your price, $1500 + shipping. Or pick up in the Phoenix, AZ metro area.

This Rig Includes:
2x microPod accessory cheese plates
1x DSLR quick-release 15mm baseplate adapter
1x 15mm microShoulderMount w/ handlebar support with 2x handles
1x angled offset accessory
1x microArm (to attach a small monitor or audio recorder)
2x 24″ steel 15mm support rods
2x 18″ 15mm carbon fiber support rods
2x 12″ 15mm carbon fiber support rods
4x 9″ 15mm carbon fiber support rods
2x 15mm Swing Arm brackets
1x microHandle
Some extra bolts, and hex-wrenches

Follow Focus Gears for DSLR - Redrock Micro

1 Attachment(s)
Add these gears around the focus rings of your DSLR lens (like a Canon EF lens), and you now can use an industry-standard cine-geared follow focus to control them. One of each size is included:

- microLensGear size A: 0.8 film pitch mod 32 provides film-pitch gearing for 35mm still lenses. The A gear fits lens focus rings with a circumference of 180mm-220mm. Comes with large and small fastening screw sizes.
- microLensGear size B: 0.8 film pitch mod 32 provides film-pitch gearing for 35mm still lenses. The B gear fits lens focus rings with a circumference of 211mm-250mm. Comes with large and small fastening screw sizes.
- microLensGear size C: 0.8 film pitch mod 32 provides film-pitch gearing for 35mm still lenses. The A gear fits lens focus rings with a circumference of 241mm-280mm. Comes with large and small fastening screw sizes.

These sell for $45/each on Redrock Micro’s website. I’ll sell all three for just $80 (USPS shipping included in the USA)

Lens controls for Fujinon - HD100 HD110 HD200 HD250

5 Attachment(s)
Two items for sale. Back when I had my JVC GY-HD100 camera, I purchased these controls as I was doing several long-duration live events. Having professional focus and zoom control directly from the pan-handle was absolutely awesome. Basically making my HD100 a studio camera that I could operate for hours with little fatigue. These are broadcast-quality controls here, not pro-sumer level.

Zoom Controller:
This is a professional zoom controller (JVC model HZ-ZS13BU) for Fujinon lenses with an 8-pin connector. It mounts directly to any standard tripod pan handle. A switch on the controller looks like it may be good for Canon broadcast lenses as well, but I don't know.
Purchased for $650 new. Used price $300 + shipping.

Focus Controller:
This is a remote focus controller specifically for a Fujinon Th16x broadcast lenses. This is a mechanical-control system, as you turn the handle it mechanically controls the focus. Professionally-smooth! The focus handle is model CFH-3 and the lens-mount gear is model FMM-8. The CFH-3 focus handle mounts to any standard tripod pan handle. Again, this was purchased to work with my JVC HD100 HDV camera, and worked great. Please check your lens to be sure it's compatible.
New, this entire focus control system cost $750. Used price is just $400 + shipping.

If you want to buy them both together, I'll sell for just $600 total and I'll throw in shipping.

MCE Quickstream DV/HDV 6-Hour Portable Capture Drive

1 Attachment(s)
For Sale or Best Offer for:
A slightly used but in excellent like new condition MCE Quickstream DV/HDV 6-Hour portable Firewire Capture Drive. Retails for $799.00 Asking 640.00 OBO.

The revolutionary MCE QuickStream DV, now in its second generation, has re-engineered the entire Digital Video (DV) workflow by completely eliminating the inefficient, time consuming step of transferring (or capturing) DV footage from your DV camcorder tapes into your Mac or PC non-linear editing (NLE) system... The lightweight, portable, self-powered QuickStream DV connects directly to your DV camcorder and captures your DV footage to its miniature high performance hard drive on-the-fly, straight from your camcorder's FireWire port, in your choice of ready-to-edit file formats (.mov, .avi, .dv, and others) while you are shooting! When done shooting, simply unplug the QuickStream DV from your camcorder's FireWire (IEEE 1394, i.LINK, etc.) port and plug it into your computer system's FireWire port and your DV footage is ready for editing and/or viewing... IMMEDIATELY!
NEW! Now Capture in HDV! - When connected to an HDV camcorder, the new MCE QuickStream DV/HDV automatically detects the HDV stream coming from the HDV camcorder's FireWire port and automatically saves it as a standard .m2t file! No operator intervention is required! Once shooting is done, simply connect the new QuickStream DV/HDV to your computer and drop the .m2t clips captured using the QuickStream DV/HDV directly into your favorite HDV editing application! You will be editing immediately without the time-consuming process of transferring from tape to computer and without tying up your HDV camcorder! If you are now shooting with a DV-only camcorder, your investment in the new QuickStream DV/HDV is retained once you move to an HDV camcorder... the new QuickStream DV/HDV will transition right along with you!
NEW! Redesigned Enclosure - The new QuickStream DV/HDV has a stronger, completely redesigned enclosure constructed out of aluminum alloy for improved heat dissipation as well as strength. The hard drive is shock-mounted internally which, when coupled with the strong aluminum alloy enclosure, makes the new QuickStream DV/HDV highly impervious to the knocks and dings of the mobile environment.
NEW! Top and Bottom 1/4-20" Screw-Hole Mounting Attachments - The new QuickStream DV/HDV includes both top and bottom 1/4-20" screw-hole mounting attachments located directly on the enclosure! This is the same industry standard screw-hole attachment found on the bottom of every camera on the market and already utilized by countless accessories. Now, in addition to being able to mount the new QuickStream DV/HDV on top of your camera using the included hot-shoe adapter, your new QuickStream DV/HDV can now also be mounted directly on your tripod and your camcorder mounted directly on top of the QuickStream DV/HDV! All hardware required to do this is included! Now even more so, the new QuickStream DV/HDV not only complements your existing camera equipment, it quickly integrates into and becomes part of it.
NEW! Battery Level Indicator - A highly requested feature from owners of previous generation QuickStreams is the ability to see the level of the internal Lithium-Ion battery with greater accuracy. We integrated this feature into the new QuickStream DV/HDV and now you can quickly see when the internal Lithium-Ion battery has greater than 50% capacity, has between 20% to 50% capacity, or has under 20% capacity so you will know how much time you have left before needing a recharge or connecting to AC power.
Instant Review - View your last recorded DV clip directly on your camcorder's LCD or monitor! Just hit the "Review" button on the QuickStream DV/HDV control panel and gain the peace of mind in knowing that shot is exactly the way you want it. Note: HDV review functionality via camcorder LCD is forthcoming in a free firmware update release.
SureCapture Technology - Even while in standby mode, the new QuickStream DV/HDV is continuously capturing up to six seconds of video from your HDV or DV camcorder to its solid state buffers. When you press the "Record" button on your HDV or DV camcorder or QuickStream DV/HDV then this pre-captured footage is automatically appended to the front of your clip... ensuring that you'll always get your shot in those instances where timing is everything.
Universal Compatibility - The all-new QuickStream DV/HDV works with every type of DV or HDV camera made. If your camera records in HDV, MiniDV, DVCAM, or DVCPRO format then it will work with the new QuickStream DV/HDV. All cameras of this type have a FireWire (IEEE 1394, i.LINK) port built right in for directly connecting them to the new QuickStream DV/HDV.
No Dropped Frames - The all-new QuickStream DV/HDV was designed and engineered expressly for the purpose of capturing HDV and DV footage in mobile and extreme environments... as well as in the studio. Due to its redundant data buffers, its ruggedized enclosure, and numerous other built-in fail-safe considerations, we can make this guarantee.
Selectable File Formats - Every non-linear editing software has a preference for the type of DV file it prefers to work with. Apple's Final Cut Pro prefers QuickTime based (.mov) files, Adobe Premiere and many others prefer AVI-2 (.avi) files, and other editing softwares prefer raw DV (.dv). The all-new QuickStream DV/HDV allows you to preset the drive to one of five DV file formats in which to capture. (Remember, when capturing an HDV stream, the new QuickStream DV/HDV automatically captures in industry standard .m2t for compatibility with nearly all HDV editing applications.) The DV formats are QuickTime (.mov), AVI-2 (.avi), Canopus AVI-2 (.avi), Matrox AVI (.avi) and raw DV (.dv). When done shooting and the new QuickStream DV/HDV has been connected to your workstation, your captured footage is recognized natively by your editing software as its preferred format so that you can start editing your video clips immediately!
Internal Battery - The all-new QuickStream DV/HDV is self-powered by an internal lithium polymer battery which provides about 100 minutes of continuous power. The internal battery is automatically re-charged when plugged into either your workstation's bus-powered FireWire port, the included A/C adapter, or just about any external power source providing 6-18V DC. In addition, there is also an optional external battery pack which provides an additional 3.5 hours of continuous power to the QuickStream DV.

1 Attachment(s)
This is a B+W Circular Polarizer Filter used to screw on the end of a lens that has a 72mm sized filter diameter. It’s a great way to make the sky more rich in color, and to reduce glare and reflections.

Originally, this was purchased to be used on the lenses of a Canon XL1s, XL2, and XLH1. Those cameras were sold, and this filter remains. Paid $80 new, asking $40 which includes USPS shipping within the USA.

10.9" Manhattan LCD 1366x768

6 Attachment(s)
Selling my Manhattan HD109A LCD. Been sitting around for too long doing nothing. An older model, but has seen very little use.

Specs:

10.9", 1366 x 768, 16:9, HDMI

Works great, but as you can see cosmetically it looks like a bit of a mess, as velcro has been attached to the side (used as an extra means to secure it). Also, you'll notice in the front, next to the input button, the hole there. I don't actually remember what is/was supposed to be there (it wasn't a button), but I vaguely remember perhaps there was a translucent piece that would transmit light? Doesn't really make sense though since there's another light on the opposite side that lights up when the power is turns on/off (goes from green to red).

Never dropped or put through strenuous environments.

$300 shipped CONUS.
