I'm looking to buy a cheap old Betacam (or any format, really) purely for practicing handheld/focusing. It doesn't need to be HD, able to record or or even look good - it just needs a 2/3" sensor, viewfinder and lens. Please let me know if you have anything you're looking to get rid of. Thanks!

I have a Sony DXC-637 in the closet. I also have a DSR-1 DVCAM back for it. It still works, but hasn't been touched in a long time!

Just purchased this outfit new 2 weeks ago. I shoot news and didnt need the HD but I did need the 16/9.
problem is I cant get used to the smaller camera. Video here is great and I shoot for all the networks and several affiliates with this camera with no complaint, but I need to get a shoulder mount cam that can shoot 16/9 aspect. doesnt have to be HD. If anyone has a cam that meets these specs and may want to trade or sell let me know, we can work something out. This outfit is complete, 16x fuji glass, and full audio, also have the AB plate installed, plus the stock battery and charger to include. Very low hours, whatever 2 weeks of work would be.
Cameras like IKIE, SONY or some PANASONICS or the older JVC GYDV700 would be what I would be interested in. not interested in the older Panasonic AJD 200 series.

You might like the Sony DSR450-DV/DVCam--native 16:9 switchable to 4:3. Nice glass and it's 2/3 inch chips. Just throwing it out there. Might find some on the pre-owned market.
