FS: Cavision 4x4 Matte Box System - Extras! Exc++ Condition

This is a "relist" from a previous posting, with reduced pricing.
-----------------------------------------------------------

I purchased this 4x4 bellows matte box system from Cavision (in Canada) for my XL2 and ended up using it once for a documentary.
Since then it has been stored in it's hard case. Everything is in superb condition.

What's included (what you see in the associated links is what is included):
- Cavision RS-1525 15mm dia. 250mm (25cm) long Carbon Fiber Rod Support System
http://www.cavision.com/rods/RS1525.htm

- Cavision MB413B-2 4"x4" Bellows Matte Box
http://www.cavision.com/matteboxes/4...4x4bellows.htm

- Cavision MBF-5P French Flag
http://www.cavision.com/matteboxes/more/4x4flaps.htm

- Cavision RHD1560 Dual Hand Grips
http://www.cavision.com/rods/RS15HD.htm

- Cavision R15-LS25SET Lens Support Bracket
http://www.cavision.com/rods/lenssupport.htm

- Cavision HCM4 Hard Carrying Case
http://www.cavision.com/matteboxes/more/HCM4.htm

- Cavision System Plate for XL1/XL1S/XL2/XL-H1 cameras, and will fit several other cameras as well

- 3 Metal Threaded Adapter Rings 85-88mm, 82-72mm and 85-58mm, which will fit a wide variety of lenses

- 3 Size-down rings from 115mm (the opening in the matte box) to 100mm, from 100mm to 85mm and 1 that fits the Century Optics 0.7x WA adapter

The entire setup cost me over $900 when purchased new about a year ago, and it's probably a bit more expensive now.

I'm asking $575 for the entire package including Paypal fees.
Shipping will be extra and exactly what it costs, no more, no less.
I will ship via UPS, Fedex or USPS - your choice - to the US or Canada.

Local pickup would also be possible in the Seattle area.

My eBay ID is kennyg92 and I have a 99.7% feedback rating over the last 8 years.
I have also bought and sold here on DVinfo several times.
I am a Paypal verified Premier account holder.

Here's some photos of the mattebox package.

Not pictured are the adapter rings, the size-down rings or the lens belt that fits on the Lens Support Bracket (this is brand new, never been used).

Canon 10d for sale - $300

Selling my Canon 10d, as it feels insecure beside my 20d and my 1d MkII

The lowdown:
It's a Canon 10d.
It comes with a battery.
It comes in the original box with instuctions and software.
Charger not included, but there are lots of them on eBay cheap

It has moderate/light wear over the camera body.

Here's the bad part. There is a tiny, tiny scratch in the bottom corner of the sensor. It is visible on any photo with a solid lighter color in that area.
The good news is that you can photoshop it out with the healing brush in about 3 seconds. The other good news is that it makes the camera cheap.

Asking $300cdn.

I also have a vertical battery grip for which I'm asking $80.

$350 for both + shipping, very firm on price.

Paypal accepted, buyer pays Paypal fees and shipping.

Cheers!

FS: Canon GL2 plus extras

I purchased this new in June of 2005. It is one half of a pair of GL2s I used to shoot six weddings and four promotional videos. Judging by the number of MiniDV tapes I have in my desk, and that both cameras were used equally, I'd estimate I've put less than 50 hours on this. Everything works and there is no wear beyond what is normal.

The package includes the following:

Canon GL2
Two batteries (one hi capacity, and one original)
Original box, manual and all standard accessories it came with (charger, remote, AC power adapter, etc.)
Azden WLX-PRO wireless lapel mic with on-camera receiver (http://www.azdencorp.com/shop/custom...roductid=93396)
Canon VL-10 video light (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...Camcorder.html)
Tamrac Velocity 9 backpack case

Asking $1650 including shipping within the USA. Paypal accepted.

WTB:Birns & Sawyer Shoulder Support

If someone has a Birns & Sawyer Shoulder Support - for Canon XL camera's I'm very interested in purchasing one, and would rather pay a bit less for a used one.

Tim Snyder November 20th, 2007 04:30 PM

Anyone interested?

Chris Barcellos November 20th, 2007 06:16 PM

Tom:

People should know that if they have 6, they can upgrade to 8 for about $250.00 more, so it might be a cheaper way to go !

FS in US: ITC Fluid Head and Tripod

This is a true fluid head and single-stage tripod. It is a very rugged setup and the head has very smooth movement. It will need a pan bar, and has a lot of cosmetic wear, but other than that is ready to go. The head will balance a camera up to about 35lbs and has variable tilt and pan drag. It also has a Sony quick-release plate, which can be removed. Here are pics:

http://web.mac.com/peterdrichardson/...%20Tripod.html

Asking $300. It's seen some use, but I think a great value for a true fluid head. Feel free to email me at peterdrichardson at mac dot com with inquiries. Buyer pays shipping from Portland, OR.

Just found this. The original description OConnor provided for the head:

Description

These heads are full-featured, lightweight, and compact. Perfect for DVCam, DVCPro, and other smaller format 3-CCD camcorders.

The Ultimate DV fluid head offers the same features as the award-winning 2575C fluid head in a compact, lightweight package ideal for DVCam / DVCPro camcorder users. A patented pan & tilt fluid drag system generates more true-fluid drag than many larger fluid heads, yet is infinitely and repeatably adjustable down to a 'zero' setting necessary for stable 'whip' movements. Counterbalancing is also infinitely adjustable, which enables 'tuning' of the head to precisely neutralize the camcorder's weight throughout the entire tilt range. No competing support products of any size can match the Ultimate DV features and level of performance for DVCam / DVCPro requirements.

Function should not be sacrificed or limited. These are not stripped down or de-featured versions of existing products. OConnor's DV fluid head is full-featured, and compatible with all OConnor accessories. It is designed to meet the varied requirements and expectations of demanding professionals.

I'm not looking for a DSLR..... at this time. :-) But it might help move the sale if you could provide a picture showing the flaw (probably have to blow it up or show it at 100% pixel for pixel) and then it covered up using the technique you mentioned.

While you might be very firm on the price,
you would have a better chance selling if you were flexible on the price.
They go for that price on ebay with all the accessories, and no problems with the sensor.
Just a thought!

interaction with DVD Architect 1

You wouldn't happen to know if the DVD Architect version that came with Vegas 4.0 will interact with Vegas 6 do you? I'm thinking it's kind of a stand-alone, and will accept rendered files for DVD authoring no matter the source, but thought I'd ask. Yes, I'm interested. I've also told another of your offering, so I may want both copies. Thanks.

THANKS! (too good of a deal to believe! better jump on it before BH makes any corrections)

Ken Grohs November 22nd, 2007 11:34 AM

Tim,

Do the discs that you got with your Z1U's have serial numbers for them?
This is normally required when upgrading Sony software.

Hello Greg,

I will try and get that info on Monday. I justed started working for this company. Judging by the work I have seen from their past, they barely used it. Just short green screen shoots for theur website. They provide video services for the deaf community. VRS. How does one find the hours used? Is there a menu item or a physical readout inside the camera? I did see the original manual, lens cap, a bracket for the rear end, some filters like UV, a wide angle adapter lens, one battery and the AC adapter/charger.

They also have a Firestore FS-4 that they may want to also sell. Not sure yet, but I can ask.

Best regards,
Gary

Mike Teutsch November 22nd, 2007 11:38 AM

You can't access the head hours on the Canon cameras. Canon can do it, but not the consumer.

Sorry but there is no way to determine the number of hours on the heads of an XL2 or any other Canon camcorder. . You can only make a rough estimate by counting the number of tapes you've used, or take a guess at recalling by memory.

Peter Richardson November 22nd, 2007 01:08 PM

the item is sold.

Chris Li November 22nd, 2007 09:59 PM

Peter,
What kind of quick release plate does the head use? Is it proprietary or can it use sachtler plate?

Turns out my email address was out-of-date.

Camera is still available, and I can now be contacted through the link on the left.

Lowell Oswald November 23rd, 2007 04:23 PM

Has the wireless mic system been sold yet? I'm very interested in buying...asap.

Gary Gowman November 23rd, 2007 07:30 PM

I see about a dozen tapes in their library at work. They have not really used this camera much. They are a VRS (Video Relay Service) company who supply interpreters and vidoe phones for the deaf community. A couple of corporate videos and queue spots for callers waiting for an operator. So, very few hours and it never left the building.
