Re: A Message for JVC (RE: HM600 series)
Completely agree, a HM800 would be the perfect ENG camera for me. The specs and features of the HM600 in the body of a HM750 for £5k would be ideal, I'd probably buy two!
Sadly I probably wont be...

Re: What Does An Editor Charge?
Hi Shaun,
Is this your first ever editing job paid or unpaid? What kind of experience do you have from previous work? Even if it's personal.
I'd imagine the fact they are asking you to do this...

Re: The C300 for ENG
That's something I been thinking about with our C300. Lens speed really isn't an issue as even at 5.6 the ISO of this camera still makes it far better than anything else. I don't get why no one has...

Audacity - 48 Hour Short Film
Hi just wanted to share this short film I DOP'd and edited. All the filming was done in 4 hours, mostly used a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens on a Canon 550D, shoulder mounted with a Gini Rig. We also used a...

Re: HM750 vs XF305 / EX1
Like Mark said depends how you compare them and what for. I've used them all a bit and personally wish the combined them together as it would be the perfect camera, anyway my opinion is..
XF305...

Re: Holding off purchasing nex FS100
Dimitris, great video and thanks for sharing info on your lenses.
One quick question, which adapter did you use to mount the fd lenses? I'll be getting a FS100 for our company soon and for short...

Re: C300 Discussion
Biggest disappointment for me is the price. I really was hoping for an upgrade from DSLRs. Im surprised they decided to miss this section out as I'd imagine far more 5D owners would likely upgrade to...

Re: Something new from Canon on Nov. 3rd...
I agree with Jon, these are often the sort of price differences that separate each sort of camera and their target market. I hope Canon do release a "budget professional" 5-10k camera as this is...

Re: So why should I buy a FS-100?
7D is a great camera and I agree I'd imagine for 90% of the work everyone produces they are good enough quality.
Right now however I'm having to make the decision which camera our company buys...

Re: T2i vs. T3i vs. 60D
Trying to decide myself either to get two T3i's or two 60Ds to replace T2i's
I think I'm going to go for the T3i, its quite a saving over a 60D and all your losing is the larger grip and ISOs of...

Re: Is a shoulder rig necessary?
Depends on the situation. I like using a rig if filming handheld for more than a few seconds, e.g an interview as holding an SLR even with Viewfinder can get difficult because of the angle your arms...

Re: Thoughts on new FCP X Sneak Peek
Funny how many of those features are already in Sony Vegas. It almost seems like a hybrid of Vegas, FCP and iMovie.
I'm glad other NLE are starting to include features Vegas has had for years such...

Re: Sony to expand 35mm large format NXCAM lineup
Hmm I dont know what to say about it, in some ways I like it in other ways I dont. I think the size and modular design could be good, it looks like its not much larger than an SLR. Also it will fit...
