probably best to transcode to Prores if you want to use FCP. import is seamless
as is editing. results look great. I am shooting 2 hmc150s at 720p30/60.

well, I did it, shot two cameras at different settings for 3 weddings. shot my EX1 at
hdv 29.97 instead of 24fps, and my HMC 150 was set at 23.98. any way to fix it? I am editing on FCP 6.

for the money you are going to spend on a Z7, I would go with a used EX1. they seem to be available in the mid 4500 range these days. get one of those, and maybe an FX1000 to go with it.

i can add to this. I just SOLD my EX1 to get another HMC150. Both cameras do some things good, and other things bad. I can tell you this much, the image from the EX is cleaner, noticeably cleaner....
