C100 Ninja vs Internal test 1
This was shot yesterday while testing a lot of settings etc, We shot with native and Nija using PrRes422 in the C100.
And we also shot side by side with the FS700 internally and with the NanoFlash....

C100 and Nija Tests
A quick dual recording using Ninja v1 on the C100. Shot ISO 850 in my messy studio. The Nija is not picking up the internal TC, I will look into this. I have a Ninja v2 coming soon to test as well....

After some research I have found others have this problem with FCPX and Canon PF30 footage, it is different than C300 PSF footage.

I see in the specs for the 100 that it records 1080 PF30 not 30P like the FS700.
I guess I may have to go into AE to convert footage for Vimeo to 30P before uploading from C100 footage. I just got...

Glen, the EVF is not great but usable The LCD is pretty good though I could definitely focus with it. The one-shot AF works very well as does the peaking.
Simon, yes NanoFlash/ Nija etc brackets...

The TB solution from Sonnet works very well on macs and I see it is compatible with PC's as well, at least in the near future.

I would not put an uncoated cheap UV filter on a good lens. The Best are B&W (costs more than many lenses) but the better quality Tiffens and Canon filters are OK.

I always carry a garbage bag in a pocket when shooting.
They are light and deploy immediately and are great in dusty conditions as well.
I like the transparent ones the best it is easy to see...

The handle on the 700 is a lanc controller. You can simply get or make an extension chord for it and mount a rosette on your shoulder rig to mount the handle.

I use my V1 24-70 f2.8 L as my standard lens on the 700. I love it, it is very sharp and if I need IS I just use the kit lens for that focal length. It is the lens I use 80% of the time.
