i got a sony minidisc portable recorder/player with a mic level and line in for 30$ on ebay with blank discs. it records the audio pretty darn good. the inputs are 1/8th mini plug though.

the frame size you focus on has nothing to do with depth of field. thats what we call "field of view." lets say you want to use a 35mm still camera lens on an adapter... a still camera lens...
