Re: XF Utility and Premiere Pro 5.5
Assuming that I'm copying to a sufficiently fast drive/array (your copy won't go any faster than the slowest component), I get the full advertised 90MB/sec off a Sandisk Extreme Pro card using a...

Re: XF Utility and Premiere Pro 5.5
The Canon XF software has other features you may want, such as metadata manipulation and creating memos, but it is not needed for a straight import to a PPro project.
While you could import...

Re: Ownership Question
Interesting question and I'd be interested to learn how an IP attorney's opinion on this might vary from our lay person suppositions.
My lay person supposition is that if the diary was probated to...

Re: XF-100 & Vinton Vision Blue Tripod
Thanks, Chris. While I'm at it, I'll probably just order both the #1 and #2 as I intend to have the V3 a long time and one never knows what one may want atop it in the future. It has a #4 in it now...

Re: XF-100 & Vinton Vision Blue Tripod
I use the Blue for XF-105. Strictly speaking, the camera is too light for the Blue head but by positioning the camera forward, on center, or rearward on the head, I can get a natural resting...

Re: Acoolades and Reviews of my film
No wonder I got fired for watching this! Oh my gawd, look at the blown out dry erase board reflection and the specular off the arm of that chair! Then there's the colorist work. Dull,...

Re: Suggestions for a macro lens?
Yes, about a quarter frame if there's about a foot of space between the front of the 100mm lens and the subject. If you can work your shot to be at minimum focusing distance -- listed as 1 foot but...

Re: Suggestions for a macro lens?
I've got the 100 L macro and 5DmII. Will take a look this evening when I get home to see how well a human eye fills the frame from 0.3m (I converted since I believe you Canucks fans use metric?). ...

Re: Should I buy CS5.5 Production premium?
A 64GB OS drive ostensibly should be adequate but that obligates you to make sure to set your preferences so all your temp files (Peak files, video renders, etc) are NOT saved to their default...

Glad you are finding a satisfying solution. I do think that you brought up an excellent feature to suggest, and I, too, will make the feature request with Adobe.
Even with jammed timecode, it...

I don't know of any automatic way to insert clips into a sequence so that they are synched to the sequence timecode. If we both are missing something, hopefully someone will show us. Otherwise,...

Re: Using timecode in CS5.5
Assuming that all cameras had timecode synched, the easiest way I can think of is to place the continuously running camera's files on track 1, and the other two cameras' clips on track 2 and track 3...
