I am hard-pressed to imagine a situation where I would be using an onboard mike for Mini35 projects, other than as a reference track. It's not really a "run-and-gun" type...

Hmmmm...well, the Mini35 isn't really supposed to make the image look grainy. You might want to try shooting with a higher gain setting, or adding grain in post.

Viewing output in 16:9 mode

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find it easily doing a search.

In 16:9 mode, apparently the viewfinder offers a letterboxed image. What will be output via the BNC and S-video...
