Re: feedback on music video greatly appreciated
nitpicking but I agree with the slightly underexposed. You could easily just change the gamma a bit to tweak it. I would want to see the sky a bit overexposed. I've gotten some really interesting...

Re: Compact HD Camera w/ Big Punch!
Pro VS prosumer
Codec is different. Media is different. The CF cards are much more robust than SD cards. List goes on but if you want the best quality, 4:2:2 50mbps the XF can't be beat for it's...

Re: How to bid time lapse?
Agreed...if you're on site, it's a shoot and you charge a full day rate.
I have looked at a few services that offer multicam time-lapse and they don't have personnel on site. Once the cameras are...

Damn! The secrets out! Ha ha!
The use of EQ is an essential part of any audio mix. Whether simple voice and music or a full audio post or an album. Truth is that most see EQ as a fix for issues and...

Re: What's the longest lens you use?
I have shot a few events with my 100-400 and it is razor sharp with no vignetting. As with ANY long focal length you must have a great tripod or every flaw will show up.
On my 7D, the 400mm end...

Re: AE slow even with 16bg ram?
I think you're right that CS4 isn't a 64 bit program. Not that it's a compatability issue, just can't take full advantage of your setup.
Second thought, as Murry mentioned, the multiprocessing...

Re: Compact HD Camera w/ Big Punch!
I'm a canon fan so go for the XF100. Its the best of the small cams with 4:2:2 color space and 50mbs codec. Get a Rode NTG-3 kit for shotgun and Sennheiser G3's for lavs. Re-mic with Sound...

I use the Sachtler FSB-6 and love it. I own a 503hdv that has been relegated to static shot duty as it's not even in the same league.

Re: 60D Video-High ISO
Until you can afford to buy, rent your lenses. Then you can properly shoot low light video. Also check for used.
It seems that you have not properly budgeted for your camera purchase. At a...

Best solution is to have both! ;)
They do blend nicely BUT you have to tweak the in camera setting to get that to happen unless you like a lot of work in post.
Ive shot both of my cameras for a...

Re: 60d 7D proof
I have used the H4n many times. Works very well. The cool thing is you can use the built in mics to record ambient and use the inputs for lavs or shotguns. 4-track recording!
Totally disagree...
