Re: Edius 7 ia a great performer
I have been using Edius since August and am very pleased.
It has been easy to pick up.
The design of the interface is good.
Most importantly I enjoy using it.
I agree that the audio is weak. ...

Re: Better than drop box? Anyone
Vimeo only allows your client to download an original high definition file if you have a Vimeo Pro account. Which costs USD 199 per year.
I think the client can download the original file if they...

Re: Looking to upgrade from Edius
Alan's problem is that he was a Liquid user.
I was too.
I have a grudging respect for Avid but I hate using it because it is so clunky.
The problem is that as a piece of software design it seems...

Re: Lightworks NLE version 11.1 for Win. available
A warning to anyone before you part with your money.
Before you buy the Pro version make sure that Lightworks does not crash your system.
It reminded me so much of Liquid (which was bought by Avid...

Re: Quick question about C100 microphone mount
Same here with my Sanken CS3e.
The mic off my Sony A1E is fatter and fits OK.
The only solution is padding.
I think you can probably buy rubber sleeves for this purpose but I don't know where...

Re: how to edit C100 AVCHD footage in Avid on PC
I just tried this before I leave for the airport.
When I link to AMA I get an error message.
When I check this out in Console it tells me that the file is unsupported.
It seems to think it is Sony...

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has been successful in editing the C100 AVCHD footage with Avid Media Composer.
I have had the camera for a few months but have only used it for shooting....

Hi Philip
I didn't want to put you under any pressure. But I don't want to sound ungrateful either :-)
If you could find time to post a photo when you have stopped travelling I would appreciate it...

Re: Autofocus on C100
There is an option to turn on peaking when you hit the magnify button, even when peaking is generally switched off.
It is also possible to select a b/w option when you hit the magnify button....

Re: C100: Impressive Audio!
It was quite some time after I first started filming that I realised you don't need to use wireless radio mics for static interviews.
You can run an XLR cable from the mic into the camera. Which is...

Re: C100: photo button
I assigned the playback button too. It's not ideal because you cannot reach it easily when you are holding the camera with the handgrip.

Re: Surviving your experience with an audio guy
The last time I recorded a live concert we agreed that the audio guy would save the audio to a usb stick.
He gave me the stick and apologised for having missed the first five minutes.
However, he...

Re: C100: photo button
Have you tried looking for the photos on the card? In the DCIM folder.
I only ask because the first time I took photos I thought that nothing had happened.
But I found them on the card.
The camera...
