I shoot weddings with GH1's - speech's included.
Always record seperate audio and use the on board audio to sync, 1 camera on the speaker, 1 wide on the crowd, if the lighting is good you can use...

I get that from time to time on the GH1 - just pop the battery out and in again and you back up - yes it's scary & shouldn't happen - I don't know what causes it, just how to get going again quickly

I always mount a camera on a light stand at the back of the venue (up around 7-8') - I'll race back and try to get the bride walking out but the high camera is my safety for the entire ceremony.

I see more & more digital cameras at weddings these days - every bastard has one. I'm thinking of making up a sign to leave at the entrance to the ceremony - what do you think?

I've got an Af100 and it's no shoulder mount camera - not without a seperate mount just like the GH1 or 2 - in fact the lenses I use are exactly the same on both so the only advantage the AF100 has...
