I have had no problems with Mpeg2 for Vimeo and YouTube. WMVs and H.264 are fine too. I found that if the source is pristine, then the host encoder do the best it can for it. YouTube at 1080p is not...

From what i read it's not very easy. There are lenses, adapters and it seems like they all have vignetting under 55mm. I think that for the best and optimal results you would need a 7D PL mount...
