SDOF in broad daylight will require ND's no matter what lens one uses.... so I don't see the point.
The Ef lenses work fine with my follow...

you are absolutely right.... about the size of...
you are absolutely right.... about the size of the sensor ( or let's call it the format size ) has everything to do with it. The focal length of the lens does not..... a 50mm lens has a wider angle...

Let us also not forget the affect that aperture blades have on the out of focus areas of an image.... Why some lenses are sought after for the "bokeh" the render, like that of the canon ef 85mm f1.2...
