FCPX - Canon C100 Progressive appearing as interlaced (after change in settings)

Hi,
I've been using FCPX with my Canon C100 for a couple of years now with no problems (other than FCPX's various flaws).
I import and convert to ProRes in FCPX and then select the footage in the...

Re: An example from this year in Madrid, Spain

Hi Noa,
the Camera is a Canon C100 with various lenses:
Canon 24-105 F4 (lent to me by my business partner, who is a photographer, to try out. I liked the lens)
Tamron 17-50 F2.8 (my go to lens...

An example from this year in Madrid, Spain

In the spirit of sharing that this forum encourages here's an example of my work from this year.

Re: Back with another...Talk to me....

I used the Sirui monopod last weekend for the first time. Other than having to get used to the restrictions a monopod can bring as far as fast paced action is concerned I was very pleased with it....

Re: 25,000$ vs 2,500$ Video - lets get a critique going so I can improve

Interesting to compare the 2 videos but in reality it's the old apples and oranges comparison.
The 2 weddings are completely distinct and the couples are clearly looking for different types of video...

Re: What's your editing rig for the C100? Macbook Pro cutting it?

iMac late 2013/2014, 3.5ghz i7 24gb ram. It has the best graphics card available at the time. Does ok with C100 footage. It seems to slow when rendering things like Neat video with the hard discs a...

Re: Asking more from the couple - Cinematic shots

Clive,
I reckon you have already got to the point where your work stands out. It's creative and high quality. At least the trailer/short edits are. I don't know what you do for a longer edit.
As...

Re: My Venue Speeches Recorder Solution - Non Wireless

Clive,
what settings do you use when you leave the recorder/mic like that? I have the same recorder and mic but I'm not sure what settings are best. I only bought them 2 weeks ago and have only...

Re: Longest time spend on a wedding day

Ouch! 10 -14 hours is the norm here and I end up completely knackered! I have got home at 04.00 in the morning and then spent 50 mins looking for a place to park :( . That life in a city centre.

Re: Sound correction - FCPX. What do you use?

Jeff, thanks, I'll need to buy a furry.

John, I have found that the Voice enhance makes the voices sound a bit reedy or tinny. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Dave, thanks, I'll try them out.

Sound correction - FCPX. What do you use?

Hi, I'm trying to edit together 3 sound sources, camera mic and 2 sound recorders. The wedding was very chaotic and I arrived 3 mins before the groom (bride's fault, not mine!) so I had no time to...

Re: Canon announces XC10 and new codec XF-AVC

I agree with Adrian, I see this camera as 4K B-cam to my C100. I don't work with huge budgets so I need something with the same look at a reasonable price. Very few clients pay enough to spend ages...

Re: C100 and handholding

Sorry, big area!
Ken, i don't understand why push auto would require the lens in auto. Surely that means it's redundant as it's already in auto. No push auto with the lens in manual would be useful

Re: C100 and handholding

Gary,
what settings do you use?
I find that sometimes a big are is supposedly in focus when in fact it isn't really.

Re: C100 and handholding

Do you all rely on the focus peaking? I find it a bit unreliable for getting critical focus.
Ken Diewert
do you use push auto focus? does that work? I guess you have to have your lens in auto or...

Re: DVD Printer recommendations Epson XP-620

I have the 620 and I'm happy with it. I had to adjust the head positions at the beginning to get it working properly but after that it's been fine.
