Re: Thinking about the XF100
I stress that I currently don't own either of these cams but there is a very informative thread on here that you should study (if you've not seen it already) if you were wondering why you should pay...

Re: C300 Discussion
This camera is very interesting to me and I too am surprised that so many have written it off - so soon (less than 24hrs!)
Sure, it's out of my price range (thankfully - so that's one decision I...

XDCAM EX 1080p25 Export from CS 5.5.1 Timeline?
OK, my first question about PPro workflow. I'm on a 2009 Mac Pro with Leopard and FCS2 installed - and now CS5.5.1 Prod Premium too.
One of the things I often do when a project is completed in...

Re: Adobe Suite PRICING
Just a reminder that I believe tomorrow is the last day of Adobe's half price SWITCH pricing for CS5.5 Production Premium.
As it happens I bought CS 5.5 Production Premium for my Mac Pro just over...

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread
I went the Adobe CS 5.5 Production Premium route. Main reason is flexibility and what promises to be a relatively easy switch in workflow from FCS2. I say promises - I've been so busy the last few...

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread
Carol,
You nailed it in the last line. Get totally familar with the camera/ancillary gear you're going to be using before the trip and you'll not regret it.
Regarding SD cards - well I took...

Re: TM 700 time/date display
Well, as far as I know that's the only way you can do it - in post - with the TM700 and TM900. If it's critical then I'd suggest you'd be better off buying/hiring a camcorder that can do date/time...

Re: TM 700 time/date display
Well, sure, you can add a time and date stamp in post in any NLE relatively easily. But (as far as I'm aware) you cannot do this during recording on a TM900 (which I have) and so I assume neither...

Re: panasonic TM900 vs Canon HF G10
Hi
Vegas 9E (so I'm sure Vegas 10) handles 1080p50 files easily (on a fast i7 Windows 7 box anyway). You can set clip undersampling to 0.5 (i.e 25p if necessay, depending on what you want to do...

Re: Adobe Suite PRICING
That's news to me as everything I'd seen previously had 30th Sep as the cut-off date for AVID and FCS switchers. Cool!

Re: New version of FCPX available
That's Apple being economical with the truth again. If you read up on various forums you'll see this is a "new flavour" of XML (I'm no coding expert so will leave it to others to explain the...
