Re: Recorder interfering with wireless?

Your recorder will be doing no harm. I find the best way to handle these situations is to fix their problem.

Had a wedding where there was crazy feedback during the speeches. They blamed me for...

Re: Him & her

Re: Those of you with a "highlight only" or "short film only" business model...

The thing to remember is that if you offer short films you attract clients that want a short film. Your no doubt thinking "my current clients want the longer film, how can I convince them they should...

Re: Ok, how about a bag/case for multiple tripods?

Peter, don't buy direct, amazon was half that.

Its still expensive but the bag is solid, rolls well, padded nice and protects it all while a 2 year old decides she needs to jump on it.

Re: Sending samples and getting turned down

You need more time at the church to setup. Telling the bride it was her fault for turning up early is never a good way to go.

We ALWAYS without fail arrive at the ceremony 1 hour before it starts....

Re: Office Space

Do you have kids?

We needed more space and we had a choice, move house or get an office and get our spare room back.

So we got an office. Not to impress clients but to simply have somewhere we...

Re: C100 LCD monitor usability

Don't forget the batteries. A large capacity official canon battery lasts all day for us with the included little one as a backup.

I know some who bought 3rd party batts and get half of what we...

Re: C100 LCD monitor usability

Its certainly usable and the peaking, levels and everything else aid you in getting spot on exposure and focus.

Things would be easier with a better viewfinder or a hood or loupe but we like to...

Re: C100 LCD monitor usability

I think a question should be what are you shooting on now?

We were shooting DSLR so going to the C100, even with all its bad points was still an improvement.

The screen can be had to see in...

Re: How do you expose for fireworks?

I Was a little disappointed there weren't move ricochets. So I've managed to convince our next couple to have a fireworks fight. That should cause some eyesight damage.

Re: shooting extreme highlight differences in a church

I would say what you've done is spot on for this situation. As a viewer you understand why he's over exposed. IF you were too adjust for him and the background was almost black then I think the...

Re: Glidecam tilt technique

Charles is the man when it comes to Steadicam as in a real operator. I very much admire his work and have learnt a lot from studying it. I really need to get myself onto a proper Steadicam course :)

Re: Is it beneficial to increase bit rate for Bluray project?

This setting wont have much bearing unless your asking DVDA to re-encode.

As long as you output in a BD ready format from Vegas (or whatever) then DVDA will leave the bitrate at whatever you set...

Re: Shutter Speed in Receptions?

No problem here going down to 1/25 (or annoyingly 1/30 for DSLRs which don't seem to go that low).

As a techie Im normally hot on these things but Im more than happy with the results.

Also, look at the Kingston cards. Another solid brand with a lifetime warranty and our 4 year old cards are still going strong.

They are also a third the cost of Sandisk
