If so, I can say if you're in a tight or zero budget situation, this lens offers alot of fun for the money. I have one on the 7D quite a bit.

I'd like to understand how you figured that out, so I could do it myself. In particular, estimating the DoF for a given focal length, aperture and distance.

Since there's no way to monitor the audio recorded to the camera, I recommend recording your best sound to the H4 and using the camera's...
