Video Workshop: An Introduction to Adobe CS5.5, Part Three

An interview with Pete Bauer, our DVi forum moderator who recently upgraded to CS5.5.

Our Intro to CS5.5 workshop concludes with Pete Bauer, who has authored several articles for us about Adobe Premiere Pro (his most recent one at the time of this writing is A Spring Surprise from Adobe: CS5.5), and helps moderate our Adobe Creative Suite forum here at DVi. Pete just recently moved up to CS5.5, and in my chat with him here, we discuss how that upgrade procedure went and his overall impressions of the software. We also talk about his system configuration quite a bit, since Pete built his own PC-based editing video system (run time: 17 minutes).

About The Author

After completing my degree in Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas, I managed a video production studio "back in the tape days" while waiting for the digital video revolution to arrive and for the internet to become mainstream. Things started to get interesting in November of 1997 when I launched The XL1 Watchdog, my first web site dedicated to digital video technology. In January of 2001, that site morphed into DV Info Net — the Digital Video Information Network. More than fifteen years later, the longevity of DV Info Net is exceeded now only by its popularity and reputation as one of the leading technology information resources in the broadcast and professional video markets.
