hmmmmmmmmm...Boogie Nights (although my 1st thought was City Slickers...)
|
Hey Vince, since you got it...wanna tell everyone what his special thing is? lol...
This is addicting! |
next question please :p
|
Well, my special thing is...OOPS! You meant HIS, right?
OK. This quote is not verbatim, but should be close enough... "Suicide? Yeah, I've thought about killing myself, but I'd probably go to hell for that, and that would be redundant." |
Girls Incorporated??
|
Nope. Please try again! :-)
|
Is it Platoon?
|
correct
your turn |
No kidding! I tried to think of every movie where someone was in a Hellish situation..
Ok... "She has the face of an angel ...She was an angel. She was so kind.. so kind to me. It's not her fault, for in the fourth month of her maternal condition she was knocked down by an elephant. I'm sure I must have been a great disappointment to her." |
sin city ?
|
"Elephant Man"?
|
yep its elephant man :-) just watched the scene in sin city where i thougt marv said that but it wasnt :-) and so I realised it probably was elephant man
so next question keith |
Dimitri, Platoon wasn't the flick I knew that quote from.
It was a 2001 movie starring Charlie Sheen, called "Good Advice". I suppose, though, since Charlie starred in Platoon 5 years earlier, he could have included it in this one for whatever reason, IF it was actually from Platoon to begin with... So, I guess I see how this game is really played now... |
hehe im sorry but it was my day off today and i couldn't stand the wait because it took to long for somebody to guess it so i slipt and said it was correct. but hey its just a game. you know what if its my turn you can give the quote if you want
sorry again :) |
Well, somebody give a quote, because I'm itching to get in on this.
|
OK, well then, I'll try another that's hopefully a little easier... :-)
"...because it's not my god damn planet, monkeyboy!" |
The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimention?
Mike |
Mike! You da man!
(bonus points will be given if you know what actor gave that line, and his characters name in the movie) Just kidding...it's your turn now! |
I cheated and looked that up after you asked, but,
Christopher Lloyd as John Bigboote. May this will be a little more obscure, but I'll probably give too many clues: Mr. Dallas asks, "What does exto gamat mean?" Vito Cornelius replies, "Never without my permission." Go! Mike P.S, I have to quit playing this! |
Well I won't hold it against you for cheating to get the bonus points Mike. And your quote is from my 2nd all time favorite movie...
|
Ya I know, I love it!
Mike |
Quote:
Is it the Fith Element? Great movie!!! |
Devin,
You got it man! What a great movie! Next. Mike |
Since a question isn't on the table, here's one. Should be easy.
"Is it safe?" Sean McHenry |
Sorry Sean, but it is still Devin's turn.
Devin, we are waiting for you! BTW, "Is it safe" is from Marathon Man, so if Devin doesn't show up by this afternoon, it is my turn. :) Maybe we should make a time limit on how soon you have to get back and post a new question... |
Thanks sorry for the delay. Here you go!

You are correct sir! By the way hello from Greeley!

Here's a tough one
"Say, are you giving me the treatment?"
|
That's from a Preston Sturges comedy. It's either Veronica Lake to Joel McRea in "Sullivan's Travels," or it's Claudette Colbert to Rudy Vallee in "Palm Beach Story." I can't remember which is which because I just saw both of 'em on TCM not too long ago (as did you, I assume)!
|
No, wait! It's Bacall to Bogart in "To Have and Have Not" -- dang black and white classics! I can never keep 'em straight in my head!
|
Hmmm,
Not any of those, anyway, that I know of, but it is possible. Classic: yes B&W: no |
*slapping forehead*
D'oh!! |
Looks like you've stumped everyone Michael. Not even one incorrect guess in the last 12 hours...
|
I'll give a hint. There is an important character in the movie named "Robbie".
|
Aha! Forbidden Planet.
Leslie Nielsen to Anne Francis, if I'm not mistaken. |

It's a treaditional holliday movie at my house, and that sequences always gets a laugh. |
Heh... I would have checked it first except to say that shamefully I don't have this on DVD, only on VHS which is buried somewhere in one of several boxes out in the garage. It is one of my favorites of all time, and we never get tired of watching it over here.
So is it my turn or do blown attributions count against? |
