Re: Do you always shoot weddings at 1080P/24p?
That's the way I understand it, and have experience with my testing. Things might be different for the big screen for example, or for Panasonic cameras. For Canon dslr's this is what I've been told.

Re: Color Correcting flat footage
I'm with Steve, in that with my test, I couldn't repair the mid tones on skin tones with cinestyle. The way I go about it, standard is the gold standard. Neutral provides benifits with event...

Re: Low Apertures and ND Filters
+1 to John's comment. The 5d can go down to 50 iso. Another option, if you are ok with a 720p deliverable is doing slow motion so you can use 1/120.
I would put more weight to maintaining...

Re: Shutter Speed ?
Denny/ John,
It might be different with dslr's. Look at my stuff, all of the low light was shot on a 5d mark II at 1/30. This is for the dancing part of the night where there is no light. I'd...

Re: Unusual setup for Speeches
5d Mark II. To be fair, the lady in the background has light on her, so I think I probably got lucky with the moonlight. If you over expose a little the noise really drops. I find that 1/50 vs...

Day to night time lapse software
Does anyone of a time lapse software that adjust the bulb settings on a 5d mark II. From what I've read, a good way to do day to night time lapses is using a "little bramper". The eos software as...

Re: Wedding clip
Good stuff. Like some of the creative effects with transitions. I'd ditch the shot of the bride in her bra. Watch the clipping on the dress. I would shoot a little underexposed, bring it back in...

Re: Converting 60p to 24p without slowing footage
Hmm, interesting. I shot some 720 60p footage last weekend but forgot to bump the shutter speed from 1/50 to 1/120. It still had that "saving private ryan" feel. I haven't had a chance to slow it...

Re: How many Monopod users?
Another 561bhdv-1 monopod user. I don't use it the whole day, but for getting ready and alternative angles at the ceremony its very helpful.
