Re: Insurance for C300, what do you guys do?

You are going to have to find people in your area that can help figure that out. Insurance is regulated by state and what I tell you that works here in NC won't work in CA.

One thing for certain...

Re: PMW200 Back Focus Issue

Unfortunately there are no other settings you can try so if the ABF routine isn't correcting the problem then the camera needs a trip to Sony for a repair.

That is a servo driven lens so there...

Re: Dslr Camera Settings While Using A Glidecam

Yea, that was the comment about overcranking.

I've not heard of doing that. I shoot at the project frame rate unless there is a need for overcranking.

Re: 12AWG for 20A

The table you reference there is for specialized cable that isn't the kind of cable you would make stingers from.

Cable you would run for stingers would be SO or SJ. They are rated for 12ga @ 20a...

Re: Ingest via HDMI if firewire not available?

You'll need to get a HDMI capture device. BlackMagic makes one that will capture HDMI via USB3.

Re: trade up to fs700 from fs100?

I bought the FS700 over the FS100. I consider it worth the difference in price for the ND filters and the high frame rates. Plus the 4k upgrade for future use is nice as well.

If you can trade up...

Re: FS700 and PMW-F55 raw tested side by side.

The record...

Re: Wired lav recommendations

As noted above the Tram 50 is a good mic.

I've had good success with the Audio-Technica AT899 as well. They are a bit cheaper than the Tram and the sound quality is quite good.

Re: New Sony E-mount power Zoom lens (18-105 f4) for under $600

That is my question as well... Is the focus servo driven or not. I hate the manual focus of the 18-200 that came with the FS700.

Re: Nanoflash with Sony NEX-700

The slow-mo comes out the SDI at 1080p60.

I don't think the nanoflash can record 1080p60.
