Re: What frame rate do you shoot?
I switching quite a lot between 30p and 24p. Usually 30p for TV commercial shots, but sometimes 24p too.
I never toutch the i or 60p (unless I want slow motion, and in that case I am using it...

Re: Cleaning sensor?
We already discussed this topic about the FS100. I'ts pretty easy to get particles on the sensor due to the small flange distance. You will find your answer here:

Re: Holding off purchasing nex FS100
So the way films are shot from over a century should be resolved... (ok, over simplification here, since the Super35 format is not that old, but you get the idea).

Re: Holding off purchasing nex FS100
But this has nothing to do with the adapter you are using. It's because of the difference in size between 35mm still frame and Super35 motion frame.

Re: C300 Discussion
The XF300 don't have 1080 60p either. This frame rate is probably not included in the spec of the Digic DV III cpu and/or the XF codec.

Re: Any word on firmware up date?
Yes, I don't think it's to protect markets. I'm from Canada (60hz) and when I tried to buy the FS100 from the states, B&H refused to sell it to me, because of a restriction from SONY. So they don,t...

Yes I know Chris, I also expect this camera to have this kind of features. Maybe I was misunderstood because of my english skills (would not be the first time, I'm a french speaker).
I know this...

What's next?
I'm impressed with the C300. Not in my price range for my market, but I am happy to see which direction Canon is taking in the S35 arena.
So what will be their next move? I am sure they don't...

You should find sensor cleaning tools at your local pro still camera shop. I am using this: VDust Plus sensor cleaning kit ? removing water, oil stain. (http://visibledust.com/products3.php?pid=416)...

Re: Holding off purchasing nex FS100
For me the FS100 is actually cheaper than any DSLR, even a T2i. The time I save in post not having to resynchronise sound, scrap, reshoot or try to correct shots because of excess moire. Since I...

Re: Something new from Canon on Nov. 3rd...
Canon has developped a line of processors derived from the Digic, but specifically aimed at camcorders, the Digic DV. I'm pretty sure we won't see a Digic 5 processor in the upcomming camcorders.

It can't even preview the aperture. The center stay overexposed while the edges vigniette. Trust me, it's completly unusable.
