Re: White balance in low light environment

I typically use AWB. Good enough for the stuff I do.

Also regarding audio drops and feeds.... 16 years filming where these have been available... never had one work. Either too hot, or just no...

Re: Sharing on Facebook - embed from Vimeo, or upload to Facebook?

As noted, there are definite advantages to uploading directly to your FB Fan Page and NOT embedding from YT or Vimeo.

Thanks to FB algorithms, you get better exposure with direct uploads vs shared...

Re: NX100 - Anything?

We shot a wedding last weekend using my buddy's new NX100 and my NX5U.

Based on what he's telling me last night, the NX100 at +27 db is cleaner, sharper, and has better color than my NX5U at...

Re: What's up with Facebook?

They have really changed up the video stuff. You use to share from the actual video page... now you can share and embed directly from your timeline by using the twirl down icon.

And to see the...

Re: Talk to me about Steadicams.

I have an HD2000 and D7200 with 17-55F2.8 I use on mine. I set it up at home the day before and...

Re: Time to change our marketing tactics??

A friend of mine in Nashville dumped $2500 into WW for a 12 month plan that included 2 listings - one for video and one for photo. He got 0 bookings out of that.

We found out that when a bride...

Re: Time to change our marketing tactics??

I'm still working on trying to build some new vendor relationships. There's this one really nice venue that I've been dying to try and get in with, and it has finally happened about a month ago, and...

Re: Static Camcorder Options - An Up To Date Thread

Man I am really curious. What did hey actually say about it?

I mix HD camcorders and DSLR and have not yet had anyone say anything.

I always debate upgrading to the CX900, AX100, or FZ1000 or...

Re: d750 (+atomos) or fs100

I'm not sure, but I saw yesterday that Adorama is selling brand new Sony FS100s for $1,799 which is a crazy good price on that bad boy.

Re: Time to change our marketing tactics??

I've spent hundreds (close to $1,000) on FB ads over the past couple years and haven't booked anything. Of course, I was doing it wrong initially by sending them to my FB Fan page instead of my...

Re: New! Nikon D5 and D500!

Some initial conflicting reports on the 4K video. I'm seeing some say it breaks the 4K video into 3 minute chunks because of FAT32, but actually records the usual 29:59 minutes.

Will have to do...

Re: I Guess I Just Need a Place to Think

I'm kind of the opposite.

I started off in video and am this year trying to get more wedding photo work oddly.

For me, I went Nikon since I had Nikon to begin with back to 2007-ish.

As I...

Re: d750 (+atomos) or fs100

As seen on here... I'm a huge fan of the D750.

BUT, last night my refurbished D7200 came in direct from NikonUSA, and I am quite frankly surprised by it's performance for about $1,000 less.

I...

I've...
