A Car scene

Has anyone rigged their camera to their car to do a moving car scene? I'm shooting on a Canon 7D so I'm assuming it will be easier with a smaller camera. I'm just worried about it falling off the car...

I liked the trailer, my only problem with it is the lack of wide or establishing shots. It might be just in the trailer, but it was a bit confusing as to what exactly was going on.
