Re: EA50 for stills

Dan,

I tried the remote too. I was surprised there are no still functions on it. You would think there would at least be a shutter release but there is not.

Re: Metabones users - a bit of advice please :)

Glad to hear it Jerome! I would hang on to that kit lens though. Don't forget it was designed to work with every function on your camera. Even though it is slow, it is not a bad lens. Now you...

Re: big white balance calibration target

Hey Paul,

I don’t see anyone complicating things here. This thread and another one just like it that was started at the same time are doing what this forum does best. Guys of different levels of...

Re: 50mm Digital Zoom Test for Randy

Hey Randy,

It seems like your looking at everything except lenses that are made for your camera.

Check this one out if you have not already looked at it.

Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens...

Re: big white balance calibration target

Hey Doug,

I checked out your site. Looks good. And a great offer for DVINFO members. Since your are making cards, I am curious why you do not offer a traditional "chip set" to paint with? ...

Re: big white balance calibration target

Yes. I love them. But my old set I carried for years got wet on a shoot and ruined (old cardboard). The only one that survived was the grey scale card. Between that one and white cards I am OK...

Re: 50mm Digital Zoom Test for Randy

Sorry Randy,

The primary function of the speed booster is to be a lens adapter. They don't make one that goes from e-mount to e-mount. The fact that you can pick up an extra stop is a secondary...

Re: 50mm Digital Zoom Test for Randy

Hi Randy,

Just about everybody makes a 70-200 F 2.8 fixed. They are expensive but worth it. There are tons of other lens options without counting on DZ. My point is the digital zoom combined...

Re: Metabones users - a bit of advice please :)

Yes. There is no glass in the standard smart adapter so it works with EF-S. I do not have any EF-S glass (mine are all EF) so I don't know how well it works at super wide but the mounting is...

Re: 50mm Digital Zoom Test for Randy

I have been playing around with DZ and high gain settings lately because I have been trying to shoot an owl. There is a great horned owl that lands on top of a tall pine tree in my back yard once in...

Re: Metabones users - a bit of advice please :)

Your looking at the Mark III adapter, non speedbooster. They work with EF-S lenses. The speed booster does not.

how to smooth pans & zooms?

Hey Guys,

In Premier or After Effects CS5 is there a way to smooth out poor pans and zooms? I would prefer to do it in Premier but I also have AE.

I have a couple of them to work on. They are...

Re: Wedding Videographer - Branching into Corporate Work

Don & Chris said it all. It is almost always word of mouth referrals for me. And putting out the effort they are talking about.

Re: big white balance calibration target

I don't think anyone has mentioned scopes yet. Our eyes can be deceived but the scope is always correct. There is nothing like dialing in your white balance to a tiny dot in the middle of a vector...

Re: EA50 and Class 4 SDHC

I not only use fast cards, I do not buy discount no name cards. Because several years ago I had two cards fail on me in the same day on the same shoot. They were made by in/out data. I was able to...

Wow! I don’t think anybody here is hanging fake wall paper. This thread started because a VIDEOGRAPHER had to defend himself because the bride was looking for a CINEMATOGRAPHER.

Here is a few tips that work for me:

In the business...
