No. That is not what he is saying. Exposure lock is a feature on some cameras that temporarily keeps exposure from changing when you are in auto exposure mode.

You must have tried this but I will bring it up any way. There is only one adjustment on Pro Lights. Did you turn the dial on the side to the "wide" setting?

Same here, I don't use the internal mic ether, except in rare occasions. If your going to use the camera as is that's the way I set it up.
