I'm about to bite the bullet and buy a steadi / indi / something cam.
I've got a Canon HV20, XHA1 and a mate with a new EX so the larger cameras are 5-6lb but if I add on the LEX / rails / lens...

how to shoot a Car Show
I'm shooting a small charity car show next Sunday - hotrods, custom cars etc. I'll take the A1 and HV20 and will mix the footage. I might even test out my crane..

here's mine
it needed some reinforcing from the original design but it seems to work pretty well. I'm going to double the length but it would only take the weight of the A1 not head, LEX and lens.
