Eh...I disagree. One frame at a time would just be letting the camera roll, then speed that up. That's the best way for video to do it. When you start getting really temporal with this stuff like...

Unique clips for each shot

I have a suggestion regarding breaking up clips...you may already know it since you mention subclips.

Anyway, the purpose of doing this is to get single clips of each shot, rather than all the...

Gack! That's horrible. I'm glad you're changing. Stick-on labels are the worst for their (lack of) fit and they're ability to add too much thickness to the dvds....just a royal pain.

I think...

Abort! No!

TC drops may be just that, and this may have nothing to do w/ the computer. Turn off the "stop on tc drop" preference and that'll get it to work alright...even turning off abort on dropped frames. ...

If video, then shoot longer than .5

I've shot several time lapse scenes out in South Dakota and found that the longer you record for, the smoother the output. Yes, that means real-time sped up is best. But for longer durations, it's...

That's a good reason, I suppose. Waiting 20 minutes instead of 40 to charge a battery (because it can read the actual charge) could add up (and I'm making those numbers up). I do favor the...

That's a nice light. I would use it.

I just converted one of my mag lite mini's to an LED tip and think it's pretty great. I really have little experience with an LED video application,...

Hijacked - now Anton Bauer vs. IDX

The thread title remains valid, but I'm looking for a discussion on the pro/cons for IDX vs or in light of Anton Bauer. I really don't know where to begin...

IDX is cheaper.
IDX appears to have...

TCv3 on your 250?

Eric - did you load Paolo's settings from the 100 onto your 200 then tweak them? I'd love to use his settings - and I could probably start with them and tweak my 250 as I think you just said you did...

Cinema Tools for the conversion - or just the FCP timeline?

I'm curious about shooting 60fps then dropping the footage into a 30fps timeline - I'm guessing I'll have to render it at somepoint, but perhaps there's a conversion (like Cinema Tools?) to run on...

I've got a general question regarding Anton Bauer vs. IDX - which one? I see some price/watt issues, some run time differences, some much bigger price differences - but what about longevity? Which...

Drum hours vs. Real Hours

What's the real wear and tear on a machine with only 5 drum hours? Is that a real time measurement, as in the machine's been used 5 real hours, or on powered on that long, or had tape spinning over...

Ruh-oh! Your True Color v3 - is it only for the 100?

So what about the 250 w/ the 17x5 HD lens? Will your settings hold up to the new lens? I'm sure it's going to affect something...and what about the 250 in general? What would you expect to happen...

Ok...29.97 frames per sec = 59.94 fields per sec, but a progressive frame (one not interlaced) is still running at (for NTSC) 29.97 fps, but not 59.94 anything/per sec, or no wait - that's what NTSC...

60p for "normal" 29.97 work

I'm wondering about 60p workflow for video that will wind up at 29.97 (possibly even SD downconvert).

I want to shoot as much detail as standard op as possible, and love the option of super clean...
