Hi, up until now I was using my PC with Core Duo 2.4, 3gb RAM (2x512MB, 2x1GB), XP (SP3) quite happily.

Thanks Terry, I shall be mounting a DVX100 on the 4000. I think it's going to be a safer, if not more expensive solution, to get the 377, plus a 501 head (to replace the tilt head) for the monopod.

Upgrade a 2.40 Core 2 to a Quad??

I use PPro and sometimes another Adpbe app at the same time. Would upgrading to a low-mid range Quad make much of a difference performance wise?

(I have 3gigs of 667mhz RAM)
