Re: Sticky for Pay Per View Streaming
I have had similar luck in terms of doing pay per view. My main streaming is college sports so we have a pretty captive audience there but when a team had a free game or was in a game you were not...

Re: Streaming Encoder (Server?) without a CDN
You can connect to that device via VLC and play back the content assuming the local network can see you without a CDN.
I had an ns-25 and the one issue I had was that the video couldn't do more...

Re: Live streaming options???
It certainly runs best. I stream with laptops all the time but I make sure they have dedicated graphics cards. What kind of laptop are you using?

Re: Live streaming options???
That is a low budget for wireless video. These are the closest I know:

Note they are in the 5ghz range...

Re: The dark side of Facebook Live
I believe this is because they are embeding the stream there and Facebook is not processing the stream. If they are not directly hosting the content I doubt they care.

Re: Hardware Switcher Information
Livewedge is an all in one but has some limitations. I use the hs-1200 with an external recorder/streamer (liveshell x). The 1200 can do a pip of a still frame which you can use as a logo bug...

Re: Hardware Switcher Information
It did not exist at the time but if it did I would still go the HS route due to the form factor having a built in 17" screen. It then also had a full control surface which is kinda sorta there on...

Re: Streaming a live auction
Well HLS pulls 3 segments before playback so if you get your segments down to 1 or 2 seconds (I have done 2 seconds before and your server is configured for low latency then you could see Streams...

Re: Hardware Switcher Information
I used to use the ATEM line but I switched last year to Datavideo using the HS line the 1200 in particular. The main reason for change at the time was the need for Picture in Picture for lecture...

Re: The dark side of Facebook Live
Yeah the copyright is killer even when working with events that have the rights. Even when I mic people up and it is at best a minor sound in the background you can get flagged and kicked off....

Re: For those doing 4G streaming
Haha, my day job is at a CDN and I deal with Telstra fairly regularly in Australia and I am happy they are not my personal ISP :-D Thank you for the kind words. I enjoy doing mainly doing live events...

Re: For those doing 4G streaming
Nice,
My cell phone also provides a much faster upload of around 30mbit if I am in an area that has the latest radio tech which is most places I stream. I am fortunate to have 10mbit up at the...

Re: For those doing 4G streaming
Looks like fun, hope to see something that is on more carriers. Looks like it is only out for Telstra at the moment. I use T mobile in the US and would like something like this.

Re: Multicamera event breakdown
Haha I am with you but nearly every event wants me to simulcast to social media. I stream to a couple dedicated servers running wowza and overflow to Highwinds CDN if needed.
