Re: In-text ads?
TopArcadeHits does seem to be some sort of malware that will pepper your browser with ads etc.
Worth having a Google for removal instructions.

Re: AG-AC130 OR Sony NEX-EA50 ??
Agree 100% Chris with all you said. Especially the advice of trying out both cameras. AC130 is definitely not one I'd like to run in auto!
Maybe there's another camera that may suit Scott. Canon...

Re: AG-AC130 OR Sony NEX-EA50 ??
Conversely, I've never had any bother with my AC130a. It is very much a small chip Run & Gun camera, but if you don't want to change lenses (I really couldn't do it in the environments I work in),...

Re: Bag for Go Pro
I use one of these:
SP-Gadgets POV Case for GoPro Cameras (Large, Blue) 52041 B&H
But now I have three GoPros, it's not enough and I would need something bigger. Looks like this would fit he...

Re: Hero3+ Focus again
Chris,
Are you comparing it with your old Hero3, or your returned Hero3+?
I was about to buy a Hero3+ until these problems surfaced, so I went with a Hero3 just in case. I would love a Hero3+...

Re: AG-AC90 shotgun mic?
I'll give another vote for the AT875R, best bang for the buck shotgun for on-camera use, I've used them for my last three cameras and love them. I currently have one mounted on my AC130 with a Rycote...

Re: Camera Rain Covers
Hi David,
I get very, very, very wet sometimes. :)
For the lens controller, I use a Manfrotto 523RC rain cover, it slips over the tripod pan bar, and is large enough to cover the controller and...

Re: GoPro hero 3+ good B-cam for xf300?
What a great idea. £149 for a point & shoot, who needs a GoPro? And at least it has a screen that I can use for framing etc., unlike the guesswork or dodgy WiFi of GoPros. Light enough to mount on a...

Re: Sandisk Extreme Pro 95 mb/s
I'm not sure this is a problem John, it's happened on various brands of cameras I've used, it's just the camera finalising the mpeg file on the card when recording stops.
If card speed was a...

Re: How to isolate on-camera mic
Agreed with Mr Wilkinson, try Rycote. I've used both, and I really didn't like the Rode, very big and bulky and industrial.
InVision™ Video » Rycote...

Re: A deeper question. "Ringing" fluid head
Is it possible that it's the legs? Even if everything's bolted together rigidly with no movements in the mounting of the camera, the legs can introduce a lot of wobble.
I'm not familiar with those...

Re: Comparing Panasonic Cams for Weddings
Well, after almost a year, my AC130 has literally been battered to kingdom come around railway yards and the like, it's had soot, water, dirt, paint and everything, so build quality hasn't been a...

Re: Camera Rain Covers
I'm a fan of the Kata-type of throw-over covers. Closely-tailored ones tend to get in the way of me operating the camera. We get a LOT of rain, and I've been through a lot of different types and...

Re: Advice for large editing monitor.
You need two desks now Clive. :)
I went from a shiny Acer 22" to a nice Samsung 24". It was a much better quality monitor, but the extra 2" diagonal didn't really make a huge impact on my video...

Hey Jody,
I've used a polarizing filter before for shooting through glass or reducing water reflections. You can get them for GoPros (a quick amazon.co.uk search shows at least one), but I can't...

Re: Panasonic AG-AC8
I often wonder why these entry level systems must have "PRO HD" in giant letters on the side, nothing makes a camera less "pro" looking than that!
Also, these marketing videos tend to be a bit...

Re: POV camera for concert use

You might want to try upgrading to Hero 3 cameras. They may be getting cheaper now that the 3+ is out.
My GoPro 3 whites with battery bacpacs and built-in Wi-Fi easily run for 4+ hours...
